The episodes are fine, but I had to laugh after one episode where none of the lead characters had died (as expected). "Well, that was disappointing wasn't it? You'll be pleased to know both of the protagonists died, later that day ... of food poisoning" Great stuff. Very true! I remember while watching these episodes on TV as a child that Hitchcock's humorous intros and end comments were the chief attraction. The stories are uneven, some of them clever and well written and others fairly pointless. According to Wikipedia, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS (AHP) and THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR (TAHH) are the same show. Was AHP the syndicated version? Why the title change and why do none of the episode titles from the Varese discs seem to match the TAHH episode titles?
