Just noticed the riff from the James Bond theme from this John Gluck, Wally Gold and Herb Weiner song sung by Lesley Gore. Both written in 1962. Lawsuit pending big grin

Note: the big grin indicates it is a joke. I heard the basic repetition and threw this in because so many have brought up some small similarities on here and taken them....

Never mind. I am totally serious. Sue them for all their worth!

If you're talking about the chromatic half notes at 1:18 or so, that technique is very common when a minor chord is held for a length of time,
Check out Artie Shaw's "Nightmare". It has the same ascending/descending tones except in quarter notes.
That was written way before the Bond theme.
