I saw this film a few times when it came out almost 20 years ago.I feel now as I felt then, it is one of the best action films ever made. Also MARK MANCINA main theme was an incredibly distinctive addicted theme that I was humming for weeks after I saw the film years ago. I revisit the film last week again and I can't get the melody out of my head again days later. Any comments on this music?

Yeah, we've had quite a few threads about it. Here's one, for example:

My thoughts are within.

Better than 99% of the shit that comes out nowadays, both film and its score.

Love the main theme, but I find most of the score thematically lacking and a bit haphazard. Speed 2 is much better.

Also one of my favorite rock songs was played during end credits.

I thought the Speed 2 score was totally horrible, but the first Speed was great! So good, even John Williams quotes the theme at the end of The Lost World! If ever there were a reason to preserve the album presentation, this would be it. The score really doesn't do much of anything until the bus comes into the picture.

I really liked the film when it came out in 1994, and I bought the score album. I haven't played it in years though, the action music can get a little intense for my recent taste.
