I'm not even sure I've seen the film with the DiCola score. But hey, I love DiCola's work on ROCKY IV, and assume this is more in the same territory. The inverse is also true, I tell to fans of his TRANSFORMERS score! I can't even count how many times I saw this movie, though I did see it twice in the theaters in '86. I was a massive TF fan and still am, to the degree that I read the current comics line from IDW. I've heard the film version as well as a piano rendition I believe it was of Dicola's Transformers score and it definitely has some cool tunes. I think they tracked parts of it into the G.I. But I doubt it. Licencing and all...and even if they were it'd probably be "The Album" program and have the three redundant tracks... Most likely it'll be the same program as the disc I already have (from 2001 I think). Glad I missed the BotCon release. Having had the 3H release for the last 12 years, along with the piano release, I'm very glad I didn't miss that release. Seems a bit silly to suggest the promo version was worth missing, ESP as it was an official release with DiCola's input. I'm glad it's getting a general release so that others can finally get a hold of it easily and enjoy it. I have to say after all this time I find the piano variants album more enjoyable Looking forward to hearing the new DiCola Transformers track that he created for Chris Huelsbeck's coming Turrican album. I wonder if it will appear on this release. [edit] I am a little puzzled by the article which says "It's safe to assume the score will be similar to the BotCon 1997 exclusive CD that was released, featuring some of the background score and alternate pieces. ". The original BotCon release (Til All Are One') did NOT have the three score tracks that were on the OST.
