Respectfully to all the label head honchos out there.....is there any possibility this will see a release or should I start ripping music from the DVDs? Apologies if I'm asking something already answered!

Dare to dream.

I would also love Stu Phillips' Spider-man music

and 'Salem's Lot.

Assuming Universal preserved the tapes at all, it would be monophonic. I'd go for it, of course. Oliver Nelson literally worked himself to death on this series. I would also love a faithfully reconstructed re-recording in modern sound quality if it were done well.

I'd like something to be done with this score while there are fans around to remember it!!!! I love this music!!

I remember Spider-Man had like 3 themes!! All very very funky!

Count me in. Closest I've gotten is six million dollar TV themes. John Gregory and his orchestra. Three minutes pure jot. That and his take on it takes a thief. Only one who got it right out of multiple TV theme compilation albums.

Yes! This subject has come up multiple times...........and long may it continue to do so until someone who can do something notices.

Best action scene of the series and my favorite episode. The music was really amazing. Count me among the hopefuls

Count me in as well. This is what astounds me at times. A title where the fans ask for something that is in such demand and those who own the rights or powers that be ignore it.

David,

We have tried for the last five years to get the rights to the Spiderman tracks. Unfortunately, it's one of those instances where the owner is part of a family. He's in the real estate business and has little interst or cares about small amounts of income that might come from the sales of a Spiderman CD. He no longer answers my calls. Sad! Isn't it?

By the way, the SMDM song sung by Dusty Springfield was written by Glen Larson and produced by me. The name of that pilot is now "Wine. Women and War."

I agree about the John Gregory cover versions, very enjoyable

The Geoff Love Orchestra did an excellent SMDM too.

Not only sad, but sickening too! Why is it that some people would rather sit on some stuff forever than have it released?! Morons!

The piano between 1:06-1:17 in this video for "Population: Zero" is phenomenal, as is the entire cue:

Absolutely, Jim. I watched that episode on DVD quite recently. The piano work is very similar to what Artie Kane did on Oliver Nelson's ZIGZAG, so I'm guessing it's Kane doing the keyboards there too. It was great back then when brilliant instrumentalists could just add their very distinctive piece of semi-improvisational salt to what was prime-time TV and almost turn it into a live concert.

The first music after the opening tune in episode "Taneha" is beyond wonderful. It's also used in "Stranger in Broken fork".
I also love the tune in "Nuclear alert".

If I get round to it and know how to do it, I put the sections on Youtube (and do the same for my favourite music of Columbo).

I'd buy a ORIGINAL soundtrack IMMEDIATELY.

Disco Stu.

It's a bad situation for us. But that real estate guy is probably thinking, "I work so much as it is, what little free time I have should be for fun and relaxation. I don't want to have to hire an entertainment lawyer and go to a bunch of meetings-- and if it all comes to nothing, if no deal is made, I'll be out that much money instead of making any."

If he is sufficiently busy, lazy, or risk-averse, he's not going to respond.
