I'm somewhat skeptical but willing to give it a go. Hoping the original soundtrack portion is unaltered. Have no problem with Howarth tinkering with the score as long as one can also still get the original.
Of arguably greater note, though, is the score BOOK he has available. Pretty cool looking:

I'm guessing you have the Shout Factory Blu-ray...did you notice issues with the sound mix? Like the opening narration being drowned out by the music? I noticed even on the Barbeau/Cundey commentary, I had to turn the volume way way up just to hear them.

Is the dialogue put over the music track itself or are they their own separate track? Alan talked about the dialogue in the interview he did for the Shout Blu-Ray and he said if we didn't like it we could just edit it out. Is this accurate?

Not entirely true. The dialogue tracks segue into the score tracks with a slight overlap. If you listen to one of those cues, they begin and end abruptly. It’s annoying. On top of that, Howarth decided to layer new elements on top of some of the bonus tracks. The worst of which is that weird “spray can” sound in the Bank Robbery. I’m glad I still have the clean version from the old, not-so-expanded Big Trouble in little China CD from the late 90s.
