Bought this Sarde score from Quartet on a whim. Beautiful, haunting and chock full of those wonderful Sarde flourishes. The composer also avoids the usual clichés associated with middle eastern music. No wailing woman here. Highly recommended!

Peculiar that they managed to spell Jimmy Somerville's name wrong on the cover of that release!!

Thanks for the info. The only negative element on the disc is Mr. Sommerville's self-indulgent 'diva-ing' of what could have been an exquisite song. Other than than that, this score is fine and pure gold.
