The Proposition. A haunting and dramatic score by the wonderful duo that is Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

Was listening to THE BLACK CAULDRON-84- ELMER BERNSTEIN. last night. Have not heard it years. Good score, didn't think it was one of his best though.

Yes this is a great thread I hope it goes on for a long time, it can be so imformative. As I said a few times before I think the best thing this board can do is spread the word to others if they think a score is good or great or if you want disappointing.Glad EDWZOOMOM enjoyed AN ALMOST PERFECT AFFAIR.

I thought we had the "Now Playing" thread for this? I don't like to be critical of threads, but Thor is right. This thread is kinda unnecessary. This one's good for old imbeciles who are too lazy to learn how to post pictures of what they're listening to. That way they can hide behind their idiocy. I've been listening a lot to the Broughton-conducted Intrada release of JULIUS CAESAR. I've had it for years, but I've only recently begun to appreciate it as much as I always have IVANHOE. CAESAR appropriately lacks IVANHOE's colour and romance and adventure, but it's a wonderfully brooding score, at times moody, often stirring. And the sound and performance are wonderful. When that final cymbal clash resonates at the end of the Overture, I feel like clapping and cheering.

CARRIE (PINO DONAGGIO) One of the greatest film scores ever composed. It never gets old! Just a beautiful, sad, melancholy soundtrack. And the expanded edition is the best!
