Yesterday I was playing my little FOR ALWAYS playlist, originally kept at 79 1/2 minutes to fit onto a CD-R, but slightly expanded (101 minutes) now: For Always -- Josh Groban and Lara Fabian Vincent -- Josh Groban Vincent -- Jane Olivor Broken Vow -- Josh Groban Broken Vow -- Lara Fabian The Prayer -- Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion You Are All I Know Of Love -- Barbra Streisand and Josh Groban When You Say You Love Me -- Josh Groban Mi Mancheral (from Il Postino) -- Josh Groban For Always -- Lara Fabian I've Dreamed Of You -- Barbra Streisand Un Giorno Per Noi (from Romeo & Juliet) -- Josh Groban What A Wonderful World -- Louis Armstrong and Kenny G What A Wonderful World -- Eva Cassidy Broken Vow (in Italian) -- Jackie Evancho and Conrad Tao The Prayer -- Josh Groban and Charlotte Church What A Wonderful World -- Esperanza Spalding & the Southern California Children's Chorus Daydreams (from Rich And Famous) -- Jane Olivor Over The Rainbow -- Jason Castro What A Wonderful World/Somewhere Over The Rainbow -- Israel Kamamawiwo'ole The Reunion -- John Williams For Always (live) -- Josh Groban Yes, I cheated, because not only is there the soundtrack version of "For Always" and song versions of music from "Il Postino" and Rota's "Romeo And Juliet," but the whole concept is inspired by Williams' music for "A.I. Artificial Intelligence." But I think there's enough NON-soundtrack music there to justify sharing it here. It's a great playlist that I think others here just might enjoy.

barryfan1: Funny that you apparently have been listening to that Robert Goulet collection. Over the past few months I've played a LOT of his music, even buying a CD with both volumes of his "On Broadway," although what I did when I made my "Robert Goulet & Friends" playlist was to have him do a song and then follow it with an interesting version by someone else. For example, I followed his "If I Ruled The World" by the one by Harry Secomb, his "Look For Small Pleasures" by Robert Preston's from the Broadway cast recording of "Ben Franklin In Paris," his "Dear Love" by Liza Minnelli's from the original cast of "Flora The Red Menace, his "Night Song" by Sammy Davis Jr.'s from the original cast of "Golden Boy," and so forth. And then I occasionally followed suit with selections from his songs from his greatest hits, from "Camelot," as well as that delightful "Annie Get Your Gun" he did with Doris Day. I think I mentioned elsewhere that I saw Goulet in a much later production of "Camelot" in which, instead of Lancelot, he played King Arthur, but he was getting a bit long in the tooth and there was little of the freshness we think of when we remember the original recording he did of it with Julie Andrews and Richard Burton. For the kind of music he was singing, he was terrific, and my favorite remains volume 1 of "On Broadway."

I became a big Goulet fan when my father played for me his version of Sunrise Sunset (from Fiddler on the Roof). If I wasn't into scores so much, I would listen to Goulet ALOT more often.
