Intriguing CD, Josh! Yeah, man, it's some heavy stuff. Being a fan of Takemitsu's film score work, when I saw the CD last week at a local shop I figured what the heck and picked it up. The first couple of times I gave it a spin I didn't pay very close attention to it, just kind of let it play in the background. First impression was it was interesting enough and pleasing to the ear but the music seemed to meander and tinker a bit, but then last night after a few drinks I sat down and started listening to it closely through headphones, and man, it started taking me on this weird psychic journey into other dimensions. Haha. I'm only half kidding, though. It was like the sounds were expanding and contracting and blossoming and dying and being reborn and melting and coagulating and taking my mind along for the ride. Eventually it started to make me dizzy and nauseous and I had to turn it off because I couldn't hang any longer. Truly amazing stuff, but probably best enjoyed without too much booze in your system if you're really gonna listen intently.

I love lots of 80s pop, but I could never stand Modern Talking. They kind of crossed the barrier to the cheese territory for me..
