Tottenham Whitespurs 2 Mancs 2. Not much use for either, keeps them well behind Arsenal.

Brendy confirmed that Sturridge will be out 6-8 weeks. Big loss for Liverpool. Game at Hull City Tigers (or whatever they are called now) just starting.

A disappointing weekend for the twin superwhites of my Leeds and Oblicno's Bolton.

I was reminded of the England game against Chile - the game included the two worst corners I've ever seen. In both cases the England corner-taker in effect passed the ball to the opposition and set up counter attacks. I didn't see any reference to this in the press. Was anyone else surprised to note how rubbish we were at this? At, say, an average of £60,000 per week.

Wholly abject performance by Liverpool. Clearly shows the limitations of the squad. Still think top 4 will be a step too far.

I blame Rodgers for picking Toure over Agger in defence. He's all over the place from what I can see.

Week Thirteen November 30-Dec 1, 2013

West Ham 3 Fulham 0- Fulham continues its descent to inevitable(?) relegation as they roll over for not-so-great West Ham. I know of a certain Bill Carson who is relieved.

Hull 3 Liverpool 1- The team with fans who can die if they don't like the team's proposed name change stick it to a Sturridge-less Reds side who only have a nice Stevie G. free kick goal and it is Hull who earn this week's "Who Dares Wins" award for beating Liverpool for the first time in its history.

English Championship

Blackburn 1 Leeds 0- Leeds drop to seventh on the table as Blackburn rights their ship for their first victory in three games.

Fulham won't have Martin Jol to kick around any more. I hope you can sleep at night, Bill Carson! wink

well they joked it was a sack race for whoever lost but in truth i think the wh board are as delusional about sam as sam is delusional about our performances!!
Fulham fans may thank us. And now a new revitalised fulham may overtake us!! depends who they get.

Better not rest on your laurels, Bill! Your lads have Crystal Palace...tomorrow! I love the month of December, when they cram as many matches in as possible. Make those millionaires work on the holidays, I say!

Has anyone seen that sycophantic nonsense about "The Class of '92"? You couldn't move today for seeing or hearing about it. No mention however that they were stuffed in the 1992/3 F A Youth Cup final by Leeds United, 4-1 over two legs. Talk about air-brushing history!

You'd think with all that "Golden Generation" talent like Scholes, the Neville boys, Beckham, et al. they would have used all their talent beyond winning club trophies and that England would have won something with them on the pitch.

You've hit the nail on the head. That's why it'll be annoying when Beckham gets knighted - it'll be for services to Man United, NOT English football. And Giggs got a reputation for being "injured"* when Wales played friendlies but miraculously okay for higher profile games.

Yeah, alrite playing for United when they could outbid everyone for other teams best players.

what did they do for england?? A euro 96 semi and fck all else except talking a good game beforehand and being exposed whenever we played anyone any good. Golden generation my arse.

and beckham will be prime minister, james bond and us president before he is knighted and made england manager.

Bill's feeling how I did on Sunday afternoon right now, after I watched LFC's abject display against Hull in some pub near King's Cross. But at least I still had a Patrick Doyle concert to attend and enjoy. Bill will have to console himself with some classic western on TMC smile

cheers kev.
luckily i didnt watch it as i was out and i knew the score in advance.
heard about performance on radio on way home. Stewart Robson was scathing and plenty of fans calling for Allardyce to go. We are so bad and probably going down. some repeatedly strange line-ups and even weirder substitutions.
Its like hes been tapped up for a big club and is doing his best to get the sack.

no filmmusic concert for consolation but i have got an episode of the mentalist to watch before bed.

I don't wish to kick poor Bill when he is down, but have you seen The Hammers upcoming fixtures? 3 of their next 4 are Liverpool, Mancs and Arsenal. Hope Fat Sam has got the Santa Suit out to keep him jollysmile

Yeah i knew about our grim december, ta Thomas.
the thing i find most annoying about our current crop of planks is that they played so gutlessly against norwich in the second half and again tonight, these bottom of the table clashes are the ones you need to win so the games against the tough teams you arent under pressure. Lose the relegation 6 pointers and its goodnight vienna. thanks for coming.

we are shit in every department. wonder if fat sam has a stat for that??

A full "premier league" programme and no sign of jim???!!

United got done. More points dropped and futher adrift.
Thoroughly enjoyed newcastle gettin spanked!
also good to see southampton slowly slipping down the league.
And apparently goals of the season for suarez.

I was hoping that last nites palace result might have been different tonight, but sadly it was still the same . bastards.

Week Fourteen, December 3-4, 2013

Crystal Palace 1 West Ham 0- A late first half goal by Marouane Chamakh(!) sinks Bill's Boys but The Hammers are still clear of the dreaded relegation zone--at least for this week.

Liverpool 5 Norwich City 1- Canary feathers everywhere as Luis Suarez scores four goals in a stunning performance. I know of at least two middle-aged Reds supporters who are happy. big grin

"Who Dares Wins" Award

Manchester United 0 Everton 1- The David Moyes Derby ends in victory for the Red Devils' manager's former side, as they win an exciting match (yes, it was). My "Man of the Match" would be Everton goalkeeper (and fellow American) Tim Howard, who made several excellent saves.

English Championship

Leeds United 2 Wigan 0- Phelps favorite Ross McCormack nets two more goals as Leeds rebound from last week's loss sending Owen Coyle-less Wigan to a fourth consecutive defeat. Now where's my McCormack shirt, TG????

An excellent question, Jim. Blessed if I know.
