Jim Carrey as The Riddler - He was supposed to over the top, but he was WAY TOO FAR over the top.

Agreed. Supposedly, Brad Dourif was considered for the role. He would have been much better, but Jim Carrey was more bankable because of the success of "Ace Ventura".

TO JIM -At first years ago I thought you were being antagonizing, but now I know better, you are a very wise perceptive person and if they really believe nobody gives a damn what I have to say why are they getting upset what I say? Don't I have the right to name a few people I personally don't care for in character and life, with the knowledge that art and life are often the same, even though some people in blind manner don't want to believe that. They wonder why I should be stop from offering my viewpoints, but think how dangerous that could be. if one person on this board said they can't stand anything done by JOHN WAYNE, CHARLTON HESTON [LATER YEARS] AND JAMES STEWART, WOULD IT BE RIGHT FOR SOMEONE TO RAISE THEIR PITCHFORKS AND WANT TO BURN THAT PERSON AT THE STAKE[in short here, throw me off the board].food for thought perhaps?

Oh dear. The irony of Jim's post is clearly lost on you, dan the man.

"Irony; the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend".

To Thomas- Well then if it is lost on me, is he not wrong and does not see the truth and in still in the dark? The only lie I have ever said in my life was a few white lies[as they so call it].for the good of a few dear acquaintances .You see, THOMAS, In the end who is going to look silly? The person who refuses to see the truth about somebody and broadcast it to others a fallacy or the one who is being honest but is attacked for something that is not false. Don't you think at the end of the day I am chuckling at all this. But I will leave you with this. I am happy for your sake that you survived the first few months of your existence, we all should be grateful for that. One more thing, could it be impossible for someone like you to comprehend that in this cut throat industry no less life we live in, some people just don't feel like telling the masses who they are on a simple forum like this.

Jeez dan the man, you've kinda missed the point. I was only having a jest. Keep your ego in check lad, no need to get all philosophical and virtuous.

Red Buttons in "Hatari" (his character, Pockets, is probably the MOST annoying of his performances, although he was the perfect nebbish in many roles).

Robin Williamsi in "Hook"
Robin Williams in "August Rush"
Robin Williams in "Jakob the Liar"
Robin Williams in "What Dreams May Come"
Robin Williams in "Patch Adams"

Looks like you got fooled several times over the course of a decade, Ron.

Regarding Aliens I couldn't stand Hicks. (Then again I couldn't stand any of the Marines.) But over time Ive learned to love the over top performance. Since Woody Allen is always playing the same character his self reflecting can get old after awhile. I do like him in his earlier works.

GEORGE CLOONEY, BILL MAHER, SARAH SILVERMAN, just about anything they do.is there a rocket that can take them to mars?

Politics aside (though I've not heard Silverman state her politics), I got to agree -- they're all annoying.

Anything I can recall Clooney in, he's always pretentious, riding the fourth wall cowboy style while where sunglasses trying to make us realize how awsome he thinks he is. I look at his attitude, even in some interviews, and I think: there's a guy who thinks he's above a lot of people; that when the director shouts, "Cut!", he's off the stage; when he's off the TV set, he makes a b-line away from other people to his room, unless he can brag about himself, especially to attractive women. I wonder if he was like that on "E.R." (one series I could just never get into).

Such a shame Silverman has to be so annoying (it's like she's not even trying to act), since she's so cute. I also wish she could be as funny as her friend, comedian Brian Posehn.

The masked guy in V for Vendetta. Is "V" his name? Can't remember.

Spouting alliterative, pretentious nonsense about how the power of words is mightier than weapons. Then blows up the Houses of Parliament.

Pretty much anyone not played by Colin Hanks or Kevin Kline in ORANGE COUNTY.

Likewise, the non-Jason Bateman, Ben Affleck and J.K. Simmons characters of EXTRACT (Beth Grant's character, in particular, pissed me right off).
