Is Jaws 3 a gay movie?

What a deceit. One can take frame captures of men's backs from any film and post them in a new context so that the meaning of the image is changed. A film about sharks necessarily takes place on the water, which in turn necessitates swimsuits, which in turn necessitates hiring actors and background extras who are physically fit and attractive. Personally my eye is on the girls in this film, and they are beauties, but that doesn't make it a lesbian film.

Is Jaws 3 a gay movie?

No, but this board seems to be getting gayer and gayer.

I have to agree. There has been a major shift and if it gets any worst, I will have to leave this board. I do not look at this side of the board very often and threads like this one are the reason.

I have not seen this film. But Richard, Richard, Richard..the 'extremeness' of your answer says, (in spades), that you're overcompensating.

I have no concern over "gay" posts. I am, however, creeped-out by the endless, freakish fandom of STAR WARS films.

What a deceit.

No deceit involved. The thread is called "Is Jaws III a gay movie", and sure enough that's what's being discussed.

One can take frame captures of men's backsides from any film and post them in a new context so that the meaning of the image is changed.

Sounds like you've given this a lot of thought, old horse.

A film about sharks necessarily takes place on the water

Logic failure... Sharknado takes place in a bar, on the streets, in people's houses.

Most people here share your reactions.

Do they? Please show your evidence.

"Extremeness". Good word montana Dave. And a common observation.

Tg - that made me laugh. The best are usually my favourites.

Dave - just wondering. Is this another of your thinly disguised gay threads??!

The "gayest" movie ever made must be A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST: PART 2. I have no idea why I never noticed it, have enjoyed the movie for years, but recently saw the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST: THE INSDIE STORY on A&E and they had a whole segment that broke the film down as being, pretty much, black and white, "gay." I must admit, it is certainly gay on many levels, but just not blatantly so (at least to me it wasn't... till now, that is.)

Oz

P.S. I'm glad they went straight again after this installment as that nurse in part 3 and the water bed chick in part 4 were smoking hot.

Thanks for posting this Francis. I have not seen this film since the 80's, but this series of clips brought it all back to me. I remember how I thought it incredibly gay for it's time, and I remember the Coach getting his clothes ripped off him and his hands being tied to the fixtures in the school shower, AFTER the kid finds his Coach in a Gay Leather Bar. Now of course, I might have to see if this is available at Netflix! Hey, wasn't there an exploding parakeet in this film?

Well, my suspicions were first aroused by your use of the word 'gay' in the title.
But it is purely a hunch. I could be wrong!!

The movie? Nah. The shark, on the other hand, did meet a number of men he could just gobble up; they certainly never were the same after their encounters with him.

This whole thread is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

So Francis, you've obviously been successful at hacking into DavidInBerkeley's Cloud Photos and snared this valuable and incriminating video he had of that Gay-Great-White! The only thing missing though is when Gay-Great-White is seen fanning himself and, (feeling faint), announces, 'Lawdy, I do believe I'm succumbing to The Vapors!

"Criswell predicts a firestorm..."

Come on, David, didn't you start this thread in HOPES it would ignite that firestorm?

I've got to say that I really enjoyed NOE2, but it had never, ever, occurred to me that it had some many gay overtones. It was on TV not so long ago and, since I hand't seen it in years, I gave it another go and, what you know, it couldn't see past it's apparently, obvious, gayness. I still think it's great, but, yes, it is totally gay.

I haven't seen JAWS III, but NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2 if full of homosexual innuendos that I didn't catch as a kid but are totally obvious now.

I am officially annoyed that what appears to be the last video store in Berkeley does NOT have NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET PART 2 in its stock.

VERY annoyed. frown

Asking if this movie is gay is like asking, "Is Marvin gay?" I don't know, but I often wonder, "Did Lucille ball?" Probably not as much as Desi. Oh, by the way, did you ever hear about Desi and Cesar Romero? Romero talked about it himself, but then he was a joker.
