For some reason I always want the promoted teams to do well. Southampton look like an up-and-down kind of squad. One week they nearly knock off Manchester United, the next they are crushed into worthless, Hans Zimmer clone-like dust by Arsenal. This week they knock off Aston Villa. Great game, this "Football." wink

Bolton were total wazz against Brum in midweek, losing 2-1, but picked up a 2-1 win away at Wednesday. Nice to have a win. Downside is we'll never be rid of Clueless Coyle. Mid-table obscurity beckons. I read we controlled the game for large amounts but didn't do much with the ball - which sounds about right.

Southampton will go down i think. Their season did only technically start after their first three games, where they played the giants, but i just see them playing well and losing rather than nicking a point. I hope they stay up though. QPR going down would be nice. Boutique club, my arse.

Everton win again.
Looking pretty strong this season so far.

I was ready to anoint Swansea as up-and-comers, too--but they're in a bit of a slide.

I agree.

What's with the horrid grey away kit, Dav? I thought gray kits were out since scum got spanked by Southampton all those year ago. Even with three points yesterday, it was only Wednesday and you're not going to get anywhere with that kit. It might not be 50 shades - but even one shade is too many. (Just seen one of your players catching the ball in his own area - could easily have been a penalty but wasn't given?!)

Nice for us to get a win against Nottingham Florist after they gave us our worst EVER home defeat last year.

You and me both, Thomas, you and me both.

At the moment I would take a draw if it was offered but I'm praying for the 3 points.
At least Howard Webb is nowhere near the game smile

I still need to watch part 1 of that LFC fly on the wall doc on Channel 5 too.
Did you see it? Any good?

Kev and Thomas, Didnt you both get your letter from Sir Alex?

Cant call them Mancs no more. Gotta be nice and shake hands now.

TV docu looked fairly mundane to me, Kev. Lets put it this way, even if it had been on West Ham, I still would have been bored.

Got to see the Liv-Utd match. I didn't post it here, but I called it 2-1, Utd.

What's with Liverpool's new home kit? Where is the beautiful, deep red of seasons past? Now it looks more like...get ready (red-dy?) for it...Utd's red. wink

TG, our away kit is blue and black stripes - we must have worn our third kit. It's yucky, to say the least.

Oh, yes, i forgot about the spanking Forest gave you last year. They were okay against us when we drew 2-2, but it could have gone either way.

Well we still lost to Man U last weekend and the ref did have a big say in the result, despite not being Howard Webb!!
However, I'm quite happy at the moment with they way we are playing and the kids who are getting some big game experience. Some of them look amazing too!!
They produced a superb performance last night away to West Brom to get through in the League Cup.
I have no doubt we will be flying up that Prem League in no time, blowing teams away with that tiki-taka domination! smile

We've done a deal with some U.S sports firm called Warrior, who've never produced a SOCCER strip before. It shows. Compared to previous kits by Adidas and Reebok, it's very cheap n nasty looking. BUT!!! The deal is worth about 80 million so who cares how crap it looks when all that moolah is rolling in!!??

On side note, I was at the same school as Mark Halsey.

We produced our best performance for years this week to knock the Toffeemen out of the Crapital One Cup - and will probably go back to the league playing as if we'd never even SEEN a ball before, so I wouldn't worry too much...

Good to know, TG. Yes, that was a great result against the Toffees. You'll have to be really off-form not to beat us. We pretty much concede every single game, so i wouldn't put any cash on a 0-0.

Gervinho had a sweet-looking goal against Chelsea, but it wasn't enough as Arsenal fall 1-2 to the Blues.

No more Steve Kean at Blackburn. Not shocking, but I always rooted for the guy.

Apparently Demba Ba's volley for newcastle today is a bit special?

Hammers fans can take heart today because we cannot lose thisafternoon.

Until Monday night.

When we play QPR.

Who are shit.

Any team with Anton Ferdinand in its defence will be relegation fodder.

But they will beat us.

Because Carroll is injured and we have Carlton 'I took a pay cut' Blancmange upfront.

Bill, your optimism always makes me chuckle smile
You should smash QPR, most other teams do. Even Liverpool would roll them over wink
Speaking of my boys, I'm gonna paraphrase a favourite Horner cue title and say...
A (Prem) Win, Finally!

Another win for Leeds, and a first win for Liverpool. Kev, how many chances did Suarez get yesterday - 30? 40? big grin
