I bought the Philips fold-out LP set of the soundtrack as soon as it hit record stores back in the mid 1960s and would buy it on CD as well as a 2-CD expanded version (with a yellow cover) several years later and always adored the original, playing it often.

But I'm curious if anyone else bought the expanded soundtrack and if they found the music additions problematic? Watching my copies of the movie on VHS and later DVD, I knew that chunks of the music had been cut out of the Philips soundtrack -- and just looking at the total time told us that the original wasn't complete. But what I wasn't prepared for was my impatience when some of the additional music came on, and I would eventually go back to the original abbreviated recording for listening to it with my iPod. (But I have no problem with any of the music while watching the film.)

Just curious how others who bought the expanded 2-CD soundtrack feel about this. Thanks.
