A bit OT, but Canadians ordering iced tea in the US are often shocked to discover it's not sweetened.

In many places, both are offered, at least here in Florida.

My Canadian mates drink a lot if iced tea.

Beer shouldn't always be cold. I never had warm beer in England but most of it wasn't iced. Ales were the temps they should be.

Yes. I always order it unsweetened so that I have the option to sweeten it if it's bitter or bad!!

Yup, warm beer in the UK is a tired old criticism. A real ale from the wood is cellar cold, & that's cold enough, I just can't drink an ice cold glass of fizzy chemicals. Come to think of it, I don't drink beer now, it's red wine or bourbon these days.

And given you drink Budweiser and Coors not sure any 'murican can claim to be a beer drinker cos that stuff is just vile.

Damn straight!

This thread has received more replies than my Leonard Bernstein thread.
Pretty much sums up the cultural literacy of this "cesspool" .

This American agrees that both Budweiser and Coors are vile, as are many other mass produced beers produced throughout the world. In fact, I don't believe either Bud or Coors is American anymore. Budweiser is owned by Inbev, which is, I believe, a Dutch company, and Coors is owned by Molson, which is, I believe, Canadian. I am more than happy to disown both brands.

There are an incredible number of fantastic craft brews made by American microbreweries that compare favorably to beer made anywhere else.

Stella Artois tastes no different than any big-company American beer; it's like drinking soda.

I did like those Stella "Faux Europe-in-the-1960s" adverts, though!

You guys are making me thirsty for a nice cold Dos Equis lager (though I also like the amber from time to time). Now the Mexicans, they know how to make a real beer.

So a thread about iced tea morphs into that other thread What beer are you drinking?!

For years I begged, pleaded, and bribed the FSM Collective into discussing their boozy habits. How silly of me not to play the "Iced Tea Angle" in order to get them gabbling about the beer they swill!
