I should have walked out of Super Mario Brothers, one of the worst studio pictures ever made.
It is horrendous.

What's even more hilarious about how bad that movie is -- they actually set it up at the end for a sequel! They shot this thing and thought it was gonna happen. Yikes.

Yeah, that is funny, that thought it was going to be what, a success? The backstory was that during the production they knew it was a disaster in the making.

It's the worst movie Silvestri has ever scored, or ever will score, probably worse than the worst movie Jerry ever scored, and that is saying something.

Goldsmith was attached to score it when it had a different director. It was almost his worst film.

Walked out of The Money Pit about halfway through.

And walked out of the Eddie Murphy movie Boomerang pretty early because my date was horrified about the way women were being treated. Which I think was the whole point of the movie, that it came back to bite Eddie's character in the end, but we didn't make it that far to be able to find out.

I also like THE MONEY PIT, and ST. ELMO'S FIRE. And at least they don't have talking velociraptors! And THE MONEY PIT and ST. ELMO's FIRE have an actual ending.

I quite like THE MONEY PIT too. Here's my old thread on it:

I really wanted to walk out of Out of Africa, but I was with somebody who was enjoying it, so I watched that paint dry....

The closest I ever came to walking out of a movie was JURASSIC PARK III. I stayed because I kept saying to myself it's got to get better, but it never did.mad

Henry, the one that had me looking at the "exit" signs was Lost World: Jurassic Park, not III. Although, I didn't like how in the third one they changed the relationship between Sam Neill's and Laura Dern's character's. It kind of negated some of the happy ending of the original movie for me.... frown

You guys are crazy. THE LOST WORLD is an underrated showcase in action directing, and JP3 was a cool, old-school, elegant creature feature. I've seen both films many, many times.

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

smile

Only twice, that I recall. Run Wild, Run Free when I was able it 10 (maybe I mixed it up with Run Silent, Run Deep) and Fatal Attraction. I was there with a pre-Mrs TG girlfriend, who just wasn’t feeling it, as they say nowadays.

I also got thrown out of a cinema once, as previously recounted, for fighting. Still don’t know how Lady Caroline Lamb ends.

The Lost World was cringe worthy, and I didn't find one action piece compelling. If your going to take yourself seriously at least have a competent script. Jurassic Park was pretty stupid too, but at least it hit the right notes musically and thematically speaking.

Jurassic Park III was a mindless but fun modern day B movie. It never tries to be more than that. The bad wrap on the talking Raptor scene was always a weak argument for criticizing the film. It was obviously a bad dream sequence that could've happened. It was quirky and inventively silly moment for the character in the film.

JP3 was my favorite - alot of humor throughout (not just the Raptor dream), alot of dinos, and loved the pterodactyls/dons/whatever. In an abstract way, it replicates the trail of Kong '33. The kid was the least annoying of the 3 movies. Didnt care for the first two films.
