Hardly. More people like it than not. The visual FX are what won people over. Sure I really liked Avatar when it came out but that seems like a long time compared to the speed at which other sequels are coming out these days. Considering it took a dozen years between Titanic and Avatar, I'm not surprised in the slightest. People might rag on Cameron for his screenwriting skills, but the man is a notorious F/X perfectionist.
