I'm not superstitious, but so far today my 14 year old has lost her holiday/weekend job at the local cattery because the owner's husband has had his hours reduced so they can't afford help, a hedgehog has died in our back garden we'e sitting here in a power cut, blagging next door's broadband.

Still, mustn't grumble...

Sorry to hear, Tall Guy...maybe that's why the Friday the 13th films exist...to remind us that, at the hands (and blades) of Jason, we could be a lot worse off!

Hope your weekend improves. smile

Unlikely - I'm a Leeds United supporter! But thanks, anyway (and we have power back on, at least).

All you Friday the 13th fans and celebrators, mark your calendar -- the next Friday the 13th is:

Friday, July 13, 2012

This will be the last F13 until September of 2013, over a year from then. So enjoy it while you can! We've been "lucky" in that we've had *three* Friday the 13ths in the first 7 months of this year, but then there will be a drought until September of 2013.

Yes it is a thankless job but consider me your official Friday the 13th calendar-watcher. Happy to do it! As it will be an interminable 14 months between the upcoming F13 and the one after that, I plan on celebrating July's F13 in grand style. I hope you all will join me again here on this thread on July 13, 2012!

Until then...

Well, that stinks. We'll be at Comic Con on July 13th...perhaps I'll don a hockey mask for the occasion (although I suspect many others will do the same). smile

Oh dear... what a long and evil stretch without a Friday
the 13th. We are just going to have to do something
about it.

I can tell you one thing... in July... there will be two "thons"
for me... the movie series (of course)... and, the music. Once
again... LLLR, thanks so much for the box set of the year.

I better start planning now. I really do not need Pamela, Jason
or Roy knocking on my door for a "visit"... oh no.

To be continued...

I shared this information with our Deputy earlier today... not sure if all the other Friday fans are aware of this yet...

The rather large documentary book written by Peter M. Bracke... Crystal Lake Memories... is now filming for release later this year. Needless to say, this is amazing news. It is listed in Imd for the documentary... plus, there is a press release for it as well...

Take a look...

"If the memory of Jason still haunts you... you are not alone" (could not resist)

The extremely brutal and unforgiving opening to the 2009 Friday the 13th...be careful if you are easily terrified, squeamish, or otherwise sensitive to murderous content...you've been warned...

Thanks for posting Deputy... Might I also add... the remake of Friday the 13th was beautifully shot by Daniel Pearl... and scored by Steve Jablonsky. Excellent job. And, yes... brutal.

Check out the information on Crystal Lake Memories documentary currently filming... Cannot wait...

The kills and murders shot by Daniel Pearl were horrifically, squirmingly, uncomfortably portrayed onscreen in the Friday the 13th remake. This is a compliment.

Aaron Yoo's death in particular was agonizingly difficult to watch...how a Jason death should be performed. Both Marcus Nispel and Daniel Pearl (among other talented artisans) did a phenomenal job in bring these Jason murders to life (death). Not to mention Steve Jablonsky, who often gave voice to the dying victims' agony in their final moments...as well as a sense of terror and unfathomable nightmarish severity.

Great job all around!

i thought i would bring this up, Taso Strakakis, who co-directed one of my films, told me once that he played Jason in a couple of scenes and that they would often used a few different people to play Jason in each movie, i was thinking about asking Taso if i could play Jason, a little novelty story to tell people about years later.

Wonderful. Awesome. A reminder (not that I needed one) of why I love horror movies, gore, terror, et cetera!

Thanks Deputy - hope things are going well my friend! smile

Hello Vacationers...

We are currently giving away one way tickets to Camp Crystal Lake. Find some friends... bring them along... Our guide, Jason will personally take care of us during our stay at his lovely lake.

Friday the 13th is coming... how are you spending that time? Watching a "slay-a-thon"? Listening to the LLLR awesome box set?

Gotta go... there is someone at my door with a hockey mask... better let them in.

We'll be at Comic Con on Friday the 13th.

I'll be disappointed if I don't see a stormtrooper wearing a hockey mask.

Had a little marathon yesterday; started out with "outbreak" (just got that on blu-ray), moved on to "the crazies" and ended with "the devil's rejects". Weather over here is so depressing I had to take advantage of movie screening opportunity big grin
