With 68 CD purchases this year to date, over half are Classical, ranging from Vivaldi to Rachmaninov, via Mozart, Sibelius, Bach, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, Elgar ... and including a 17CD set of the works of Jaqueline du Pre (for EMI).
I decided I needed to expand my pitiful collection of classical works (which had represented about 3%* of my collection) ... and I'm loving it! So much fascinating, wonderful stuff.
* now 4.85%, as measured by number of tracks, but closer to 10% in listening time.
