Oh look Phelpsie, it IS Real-v-Bayern in the semi.

Pity. That would have been a proper European final between two sides who could reasonably argue that they ARE the top two sides in Europe.

tick tock tick tock... tension mounts for thomas and kev - only 1 day ti go before the potential season decider.

boys must be chewing their fingers off??

1-1 aint much good to either team so what are everyones predictions for the match?
man city show their class and win by a few or Liverpool take them apart?
or a close cagey game settled by one piece of Suarez magic? maybe one of his chips from the west ham game will finally touch the bar and drop in?? or a powerhouse run from ya ya avoiding three weak challenges down the middle and blasting it in the corner past mignolet??

come on, what do u reckon???

I’ve been feeling pretty nervy all week Bill, to be honest. Not even sure if I can face watching the game! I’d be a bit worried about Citeh’s strong midfield and Aguero, but they generally don’t like it when teams press them up the pitch and with pace. It will be an emotional occasion as well I would imagine, should be a good game for the neutral. But I'm not a neutral, so hopefully we tank 'em...

If he knows what's good for him, he'd better be filming that "Body Popping" duet with Thomas.

Way to go, Liverpool. cool

I watched the Sheff U vs Hull semi-final yesterday - what a game that was! I started out as a neutral, not caring much for either club or either manager, but was happier when the Blades scored. It was no surprise when the gulf in class began to show but it was still a game right up to the point when the last Hull goal went in with 30 seconds left on the clock.

It was only this morning when I saw the Pool / Citeh highlights. How spawny were Liverpool?! Suarez, who'll probably be rewarded with the Player of the Season award for his great play and for the fact that he hasn't actually tried eating anyone this season, should have been sent off for an obvious dive when already on a yellow. Futhermore, Citeh should have had a penalty when Squirtle (signed from Pokemon Town for a then-club record of one million trading cards) stretched out one of his tentacles and punched the ball away in the penalty area.

My private prediction of a score-draw was set to come to fruition until Vincent "Bad" Kompany cocked a clearance straight at Coutinho, who took his chance superbly.

You need a big slice of luck to win the League (unless you're Man U, in which case intimidation has generally done the trick) and Liverpool have just had it.

Oh TG, you sound just like that sour cantankerous old git that we both love to hate...wink

Yes, Liverpool rode their luck at times, but look at the excitement their play brings. Credit to Wee Brendy for his team selection and letting Coutinho and Sterling go for it from the start, leaving Citeh’s defence perplexed. They couldn’t cope with it in the first 20 minutes. Nerves and anxiety played a part in the second half when Citeh got back into it and they are too good a team not to expect that, but it took guts to go for the winner and hold on to it. As for the Suarez incident you mention, it looked to me that defender’s trailing leg did indeed clip him. Skrtel was lucky, the referee just couldn’t see it. Also, I thought our support was fantastic all day.

The game against Chelsea will be huge and we will be missing Hendo, no doubt Mourinho will try to turn it into a war of attrition and get a boring 1-0 win...

I actually didn't watch live the remaining 10 minutes or so after Coutinho scored the winner. I don't think I'll be watching any of the remaining games either, too nervous. Also, my local Irish League team Cliftonville have 3 games to go and 1 point clear to win the league for the 2nd year in a row, so I'm getting it twofold!!

this is your moment and you leave thomas to do all the talking???!!

i know he wasnt fully fit but was that probably Kompanys worst game in a citeh shirt?? at fault for all three goals and shouldve had yet another penalty awarded to liverpool.
couldve been 5-5!!!

Sorry Bill, but I don't want to tempt fate or anything so I'm keeping schtum for now smile
Brickin' it about the Norwich game now.

Just a point to old sour grapes/misery guts up there (yes, you TG smile Don't know if you saw it, but we were robbed at the Etihad over Xmas, when Sterling was flagged offside when he was at least 4 YARDS on AND Suarez was hacked down in their box for a blatant penalty that wasn't given! What's that saying...everything evens out at the end wink

Dear god, was anyone ever more misunderstood? smile My comments weren't moans, merely observations! I have no dog in this race apart from the usual ABU instincts... Sorry if it came across otherwise. So you can wind your kopping necks in!

I dunno Bill, they don't like it up 'em. So if you bombard them like you did Liverpool, they might wilt under the strain. They are a bit powder puff.

arsenal were proper shit. but after a promising start we faded, slack marking, sloppy passing, and managed to make Giroud llook better than suarez and the rest of them look like champions league winners!!!

utter cock. glad we dont need the points.
