Over the years I was thinking how many times one simply asked a question around here and one often don't get a response. I personally have always tried to answer a question if it was reasonable from a board member. It is a shame how inconsiderate people can be on this subject.
TO MASTADGE- I don't mean not responding to a topic. I mean actually asking a question to someone and getting no response. As a civil person of consideration if I didn't know a answer I would say- sorry, don't know in response.
Is this really worthy of a thread?? Oh good grief....ok - I'll explain it:
Could be several reasons....often it will be because the person hasn't seen the question...not everyone reads every thread every day. Other times it could be they don't think it worth responding. Or it could be because they don't want to. Or other reason [please insert here].
This really is.....basic.
To automatically put it down to rudeness and add the "Par for the course?" faux-assertiveness tagline is really quite childish, I think.
I frequently post threads asking questions or advice and ppl often respond in kind. If I don't contribute to such threads it's because I have nothing of value to add. Now there are times I'll start a conversational thread and receive no responses. Kinda a bummer, but that's life.

I agree with the above. It's jumping to conclusions to suggest lack of response equals rudeness. People have lives and things to do. And hey, maybe they don't know the answer to the question!

Speaking of questions that go unanswered: Hey dan, when did you work for Fangoria magazine and which one of your films might I have seen?
Also, why haven't you posted on my appreciation thread I made for you?

Ahh now this is interesting. It's true that people have posed questions to Dan the Man several times, usually requesting further information about his vague career statements, and he has consistently avoided answering them. Hmmm...

Did I ever tell you about the time I dropped acid with Jim Morrison? or Jimbo as I know him. I also once taught Jimi Hendrix a few licks and wrote poetry in a tree house with Marc Bolan....I'd love to tell you more but gotta dash, I'm meeting Elvis for a private screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
This is the kind of time I wish FSM posts had a "Like" button.
Looks like dan the man has laid low since starting this thread. He's no doubt waiting for it to fall down with the rest of his perpetually-self-bumped topics and then he will make his return.
