MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

THE WALKING DEAD---new photos released from Season 4 which premiers on October 13.

GAME OF THRONES---Kit Harington said more characters will be killed off in the new season, "It doesn’t get any easier this season, it’s quite a high octane, action packed one…. More deaths this season than any other! I can’t tell you who dies. You’d think they’d tone the deaths down, but they don’t. They’ve realized that’s a successful option, so they’re just killing more people than we’ve ever killed."
Also, Joel Fry will play Hizadahr zo Loraq.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION---first photo released for the reboot movie showing Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Mark Treynor.

MODERN FAMILY---ABC is considering a spin-off series about obnoxious real estate salesman Gil Thorpe (Rob Riggle) who appeared in two episodes of Season 4.

CYBER---Chris Hemsworth commented on the new Michael Mann movie, "Basically, something similar to the Chicago Board of Trade is hacked into and it sets off a chain of events around the world, affecting the stock market. And the code that was used to hack into it, my character had written it years before and he happens to be in prison for cyber crime. He is pulled out and offered a deal if he works with a joint task force of the FBI and the Chinese goverment in trying to track this guy down. It starts off in Chicago and ends up in Kuala Lumpur, in Hong Kong and in Jakarta. It's this sort of cat-and-mouse international heist-thriller."

THE EXPENDABLES 3---Sylvester Stallone said he regrets his his comments about Bruce Willis being "greedy and lazy" after Willis wanted $4 million instead of the $3 million offered, "This is just a matter of economics. Bruce has been a lifelong friend. I still consider him a friend, at least on my side. This is something that came out of frustration. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so vocal with it."

DUMB AND DUMBER TO---Jennifer Lawrence (THE HUNGER GAMES) has a cameo in the sequel as a younger version of Kathleen Turner who is co-starring.

PREEMPTIVE STRIKE---movie underway based on the novel set in 1953 in which a young FBI agent must stop a beautiful Soviet double agent who has obtained secret ICBM warhead technology. The script is by Barry L. Levy (PARANOIA, VANTAGE POINT).

QUIDDITCH THROUGH THE AGES---Warner Bros. registered several JK Rowling Quidditch-related trademarks suggesting a movie is underway.

HILLARY CLINTON---CNN Films canceled the documentary. Director Charles Ferguson (INSIDE JOB) quit earlier saying, "Nobody, I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film. Not Democrats, not Republicans -- and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons."

ARROW---spoiler alert (see below).

CHAPPIE---Hugh Jackman joins the cast of the Neill Blomkamp sci fi movie about a robot with artificial intelligence who is stolen by two gangsters who plan to use it in their illegal activities.

THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!---Rosamund Pike (JACK REACHER, DIE ANOTHER DAY) and David Graham (THUNDERBIRDS 1965) will provide voices for the new ITV animated/live action series.

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON---DreamWorks remake underway of the Japanese movie about two families who discover their young sons were accidentally switched at birth.

Meh. Concentrate on keeping Modern Family as good as it's always been. Besides, he's not that interesting of a character IMO.

Why not? Plenty of other annoying people have TV shows these days. Modern Family was funny in the first season. After that, I feel it was ruined by the fans, who built it up as being the greatest comedy on TV in ages, forcing the show to become obsessed with trying to follow that status as hard as possible, instead of just concentrating on being the funny show it started out as.

ARROW---John Barrowman will return in Season 2 for at least two episodes.

No surprise. I'm pretty sure it was already announced last season that he'd been upgraded to a series regular, so I expected he'd return.

Fifty years after its television debut the iconic series is back in production featuring a talented cast led by Rosamund Pike (The World’s End, Gone Girl) as Lady Penelope and David Graham (Thunderbirds 1965) reprising his role as chauffeur and International Rescue agent Parker.

Debuting on ITV in 2015 this re-invention of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's much-loved series will be produced using an innovative mix of CGI animation and live-action miniature sets.

Unstoppable inventor Brains will be voiced by Kayvan Novak (Fonejacker, Facejacker) whilst Tracy brothers Gordon and John are both played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Love Actually, Game of Thrones). Rasmus Hardiker (Saxondale, Lead Balloon) has been cast as both the youngest and oldest Tracy brothers Alan and Scott. The fifth Tracy brother, Virgil, will be played by David Menkin.

Tracy Island matriarch Grandma Tracy is voiced by Sandra Dickinson (Amazing World of Gumball, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) and master villain The Hood played by Andres Williams (M.I. High, Foyle’s War).

Plus Thunderbirds Are Go! will feature new characters including Kayo, the Tracy brothers’ friend and fellow island resident, who will be played by Angel Coulby (Merlin, Dancing on the Edge) and Colonel Casey voiced by Adjoa Andoh (Invictus, Doctor Who)

Giles Ridge, Executive Producer, Thunderbirds Are Go! said: “Each member of the cast has brought a brilliantly fresh and unique approach to these wonderful characters. I can’t think of anyone better than Rosamund to bring back to life the fabulous Lady Penelope and we are honoured that David Graham has joined the cast to revisit his role as Parker.”

Rosamund Pike commented: "I’m very excited to bring Lady Penelope’s wry wit and taste for adventure to a new generation. Exploring the scenes with David Graham has been an absolute delight. The scripts are very modern, very fresh and very funny. We’re all eagerly anticipating our next stint in the recording studio!"

David Graham, playing Parker, added: “I am triple chuffed to be on board the new series of Thunderbirds Are Go! and reprising my role of dear old Parker with such a distinguished cast. My driving skills are in good nick and I am delighted to be behind the wheel again with M’Lady. Cheerio!”

Featuring the world's most famous family of heroes, International Rescue, Thunderbirds Are Go! will blast the five brave Tracy brothers back on to television screens piloting their incredible vehicles into impossible rescues across the globe.

Thunderbirds Are Go! is produced by ITV Studios and New Zealand based Pukeko Pictures, with world-famous Weta Workshop (Avatar, King Kong, The Lord of the Rings) designing the series and producing the miniatures. The 26 x 30’ major new children’s series will debut on ITV and UK’s CITV Channel in 2015.

Thunderbirds Are Go! is executive produced by Estelle Hughes for ITV Studios, Giles Ridge for ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) and Richard Taylor and Andrew Smith for Pukeko Pictures.
