Yes I know, people have there good and bad days but I believe in trends as I believe there are certain people who stand out with their decency in life,. Is there a person over the years you have met that has really stood out with their goodness?

I met her in high school. Eventually I married her.

She's gone now, but I was the luckiest person in the world for just having known her.

Octoberman, this melted my heart and I now have a lump in my throat. Thank you for sharing this.

You are a dear one for saying so. Much appreciated.
And any thanks for it would be owed completely to her. She was singlehandedly the kindest, gentlest person I have ever known. And many of her loved ones would often say the same thing. Not a mean or petty bone in her body, and with no thought of what she could gain from it.
One of a kind and a helluva role model. smile

Oh my Octoberman, you did it again. You were blessed to have shared your life with her and she was equally blessed to have someone who held her in such high regard. Oh to love and be loved - you have had both my dear man.

Thank you again, Eee-Dee. Very kind.
I sometimes struggle with how much this stuff might come off as too personal on topics like this. But then I figure, "Ah, what the hell".
It certainly wouldn't bother me if someone else had posted it. I enjoy reading of others' good fortune. I think we could use more of this kind of stuff, mushy as it may be. Not just here but everywhere.

And I think Dan gets some credit for starting this thread in the first place. Good one, mate. smile

You are welcome Octoberman but it is I and all the others on this board who are thanking you. I don't think anyone who read your original post felt it was too personal to post. Instead it was refreshingly honest and a true reflecton of the hearts that really beat behind the screen names here. I have always called myself a mush pie and I wear the name proudly. And yes, you are so correct about thanking dan. Thank you dan. It was a beautiful sentiment that originated this thread.

TO EDWZOOMOM- You are very welcome and I am glad to see that this thread turned out to be a very touching one. I think it is nice we can add human interests stories with our love for film music and other hobbies. I think I did mentioned this before, film music has been a large part of my romantic life as well.

TO OCTOBERMAN- Thanks and it was very human of you to bring out your lost in your life. I always believed nothing is too mushy for a mature person. It just makes us more human. Yes we often will bantered around here with different viewpoints in life and sometimes get on other peoples nerves but there is much humanity in us we often keep silent. What I am a bit surprised is we have not heard from our friend NEOTRINITY?

Let's see . . .

I'd guess it's neck-and-neck between Barry Manilow and Will Rogers.

( . . . or perhaps Betty Comden and Adolph Green?)

Since I contact and speak to a lot of compsoers, sesssions players, producers, etc., in regards to my rejected scores site, I can tell you I've spoken to some very friendly people.

I don't know what it is, but so far the sessions players have been the nicest.

And when I did my interview with Gabriel Yared, it was conducted over the phone. He was very nice, polite, a gentleman. Probably one of the nicest people I've met. If you ever attend one of those music gatherings overseas where compsoers are, and he's there, make it a point to talk with him.
