My favorite is Dutchman. It is with tomatoes, ham and a fine slice of sauce hollandaise. It´s just delicious!

So, what´s your favorite pizza?

Mmmmmmm, I love pizza. Probably my favorite food ever! Almost every Friday is Pizza Night in this household.

Lately, the only pizza we've been eating is Mountain Mike's. There's a pizza place here in town, but it's not very good so we usually make the 15-20 minute drive to the next town to get Mt. Mike's. I also like Round Table, but rarely get to eat there anymore since the closest one is a little further away.

But for me, the greatest pizza ever still belongs to D.J.'s Pizza, which was a little place in my hometown, but they closed sometime in the late-80s. frown But man, they had the greatest pizza ever.

When we make it at home, we always use the Mama Mary pizza crust. I think it's much better than the more popular Boboli.

As for what kind I like, I like the trusty ol' cheese-and-pepperoni, and we always order with light sauce. Sometimes they put too much on, and it ruins the taste. And occasionally I sprinkle on some parmesan cheese, but not as often as I did when I was little.

Easy, the quattro formaggi. I'm a vegetarian and this is without doubt my favorite pizza. I'm also very fond of the pizza funghi (mushroom), but the quattro formaggi or 4 cheese pizza I consider to be a more guilty pleasure due to the calories involved wink

Behold temptation:

I've always declared that if I were to build my future home, I will include a pizza oven in bricks!

I have tried to make pizza myself but considering the work involved, I find it easier to just order and have it delivered at my door for the time being big grin

Here in Minneapolis, we've got the best pizza joint on the planet, Punch Neapolitan Pizza. Cooked in an 800 degree wood fueled brick oven for 90 seconds, it comes out with a nice, slightly burnt crust, sizzlin' and delish!

My favorite combination: ham, artichoke hearts, capers and anchovies! A little taste of bliss, I tells you!

Italian pizza
I don't remember the names because I haven't eaten in an Italian pizzeria for a too long time, but I like them with mushrooms (it's actually the only times I eat mushrooms), pizza cheeze, ham.
I've been longing for a true Italian pizza for some time, too. razz

American pizza
Pepperoni! smile
No cheesy crusts; I don't know what they use for it, but I certainly don't like it.

When I lived in L.A. many years ago, there was a great place in the valley called Joe Peeps. Best pepperoni pizza ever. I wish I could have one now...

If you're talking store-bought pizzas, this will inevitably vary according to where you live in the world. I've never heard of any of the brands mentioned in this thread, for example. Here in Norway, Pizza Grandiosa is the most famous and most-eaten type. It comes in various versions, but I prefer the good ol' one with ham, paprika and cheese. I can add extra cheese myself if I want to (plus champignon):

But my favourite pizza will ALWAYS be my mother's home-made one! smile

Something I miss here in Norway (especially where I live, in Bergen), is a good local pizza place. Off course we have pizzeria places like Peppes Pizza and Dolly Dimples. But nothing that truly stands out. Perhaps in Oslo, Thor?

Yeah, we have a couple. Angelo's downtown, for example (if it's still in operation).

The best pizza I ever had was at the Italian Carry-Out in Ithaca, NY...

When I'm in the states, I like to go to Papa John's.
Domino's is good too.
Also, the Canadian chain "Pizza Pizza" is damn fine.
Thick crust, extra sauce with bacon strips and hot peppers.

I like Papa John's too, though many others I know don't.

For non-chain pizzas, there are a couple places here in Tally I really like, one called Momo's and the other called Decent Pizza. They're extremely similar (my understanding is they used to be different locations of the same business, and one was sold to new ownership, and got its name changed while everything else stayed the same). They're nothing like Papa John's or other chains, but I can appreciate a variety of approaches to pizza.

My favorite toppings (on anyone's pizza) are mushroom, jalapeño and pineapple; I get these on any pizza I order for myself. I like other stuff too, including lots of meat, though for whatever reason if pizza has upwards of 3 or 4 toppings I do prefer that at least half be non-meat. I love all kinds of meat on pizza, but if they're there in force I want an equal or greater number of other things, too.

Many years ago a place I used to work at opened a pizzeria on the side, and its signature topping was alligator (!), which I found actually quite good, provided it was eaten when it first came out of the oven. Unlike most pizza, which is great even if reheated a day or two later, alligator pizza seemed to lose its appeal for me if it wasn't eaten fresh out of the oven.

I've always declared that if I were to build my future home, I will include a pizza oven in bricks!

That's on my wishlist for my dream house, too.
