Wait a minute, if GODZILLA wins in the end, then the formula will be when that series became, cheesy not serious. So they are not going to do a serious rip roaring moody and effective effort?

Track 1: Godzilla!

Wow! It says that it is a bonus track. Is there a particular release that has an extra track?

It's not a bonus track, it's the first track of the album. It's a bonus for those who preordered tickets via fandango.

Love the dark tone; Arkham City and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen come immediately to mind, but classic monster movie and very much Desplat sounding!

Why would they 50/50 it with the wallpaper? So they can only get 50% sued?

The album is on Itunes with track times:

About 1 hour of music.

That sounds amazing! Desplat always delivers great themes and fits them into the context of the film. This "Godzilla" track has the feel of an old-fashioned monster film, orchestrated with contemporary finesse.

Main Title reminds me of Marco Beltrami (a bit of A Good Day of Die Hard and a few other scores).

And I can't get it out of my head-electric light orchestra, good song.

This is the footage that was screened at Wondercon (and seemingly filmed on a potato)...

The only reason I post is because it features Desplat's music (probably 'The Wave' and maybe 'Airport Attack') and it is wonderful! The whole scene is a perfectly executed build-up to (presumably) Godzilla's reveal, so watch at your own risk.

I can't wait to see it on the BIG screen xD
