Does anybody have the chronological order for the OST? Forgive me if this has been posted already. You could just direct my attention there if it has been, but I'm not combing through 167 pages to find it.

I still can't get into this score. I've listened to it 43 times (thanks iTunes). I've tried listening to it intently and also while doing other things. Kev McGann's love of it made me go back and relisten to specific parts. And I know people have mentioned the Steps bit being a favourite. But I just can't break it. I forget what I'm listening to half the time until an old theme pops up. I remember it being pleasant enough in the film but the second I step away from the score I can't remember any of it. Though Rey's theme is sticking a touch now. Maybe one day it'll do something for me. McGann won't be happy with me. Tsk.

Thanks for the link, Josh, and thanks for putting that chart together, Jason! Great work!

I still can't get into this score. I've listened to it 43 times (thanks iTunes). Leave it for a year and go back with new ears. You might be surprised. Yah, I think this is good advice TM, it worked for me and Thief by Tangerine Dream!

You know, I just don't care for this one either. Although there are some dynamite cues, the only one that's really outstanding for me is "The Jedi Steps And Finale"... both for the incidental scoring, and for the amazing medley during the End Credits. Other cues are solid ("Rey's Theme", "Farewell And The Trip" and "The Starkiller" et al), but the action music is all kind of a let down, honestly. I think the prequel scores all have much more memorable and exciting action music than "The Falcon" and "Follow Me" do. The new themes for the Resistance, for Kylo Ren, and for Finn and Poe Dameron are all just sort of "present" for me, and there isn't much of an emotional punch to the score overall. So I don't know... I think Episodes I-III are worthy additions to the Star Wars song book, but this one sort of leaves me flat.

The "suite" cues like the end credits or Rey's Theme shine brightly, but the underscore in most of the other cues isn't anything memorable (at least for Star Wars). I still get the feeling that a lot of this was ghostwritten. Again, just a feeling, not going on record as a conspiracy or belief here.
