Plus, it is the 10th anniversary of Kamen's death next week.

The 100th anniversary of Jerome Moross' birth this year didn't result in too many soundtrack goodies. None at all was the number, I think.
I was foolish enough to hope a celebratory and definitive "War Lord" might appear at last.

I'm not foolish enough to hope, but I'm hopeful enough to wish.

Wouldn't the "Airport" series fit nicely on an 8 disc box set with extras and unreleased material?

I haven't a clue how much music is in these films, but does anyone honestly think a $120 boxed set with two John Cacavas scores (no disrespect, but not exactly a name composer) for an antiquated film series could possibly sell 3,000 copies?

....you got a point there....1500 would probably cover it.....at $80 each.

....I really stink at guessing these things big grin

Really????!!!!!! If ALF is coming indeed in 2014 I'll be ecstatic, because I'm a huge fan of this series and its music since I saw the first chapter!

No!!! He's supposed to do the Six million Dollar man or the Adam West Batman in 2014. No ALF. I'm already making the budget allocations for 2014. Don't upset my plans MVP.

My bet goes for an expanded JFK.

With the 50th anniversary of the assassination it would seem logical.

check this for more info about the unreleased music

It's sounds little ominously - previously we said "it's composer X birthday soon, so maybe someone will release his score to Z film?" Now we speak - it's assassination anniversary, so please LLL release this score! big grin

I think they would have included it in the dvd box set if this were happening

I'd be on board for JFK, whenever it appears, but it certainly would be timely this month.

It won't be a John Williams release, according to this post by LLL on JWFAN

A re-release of Take a Hard Ride would make a marvelous Christmas present. Sure hope it's true.

What's wrong with the FSM release? Surely we're not going to see re-issues of *every* FSM and Varese CD Club release? This is getting boring.

The only thing wrong with the FSM release is that some people don't have it. (I do, and love it.) Surely a score like this deserves to be in print if it can be, no?

Just watched "Take a Hard Ride" on TV. First time I've watched it all the way through.
What a truly dreadful film. Only stuck with it to hear Goldsmith's music in situ. I'd urge anyone who likes the score to avoid the film, for fear of tainting the music by association.

No way, that's why I think it has to be something big. Something that people have been craving for a while. What that could be I'm not sure. My bias wishful thinking again says Lethal Weapon, but it really could be anything.

I know LLL wanted to do a release of a variety of early 90s cartoon music from Warner Bros I.E Freakazoid, Tiny Toons, etc. Would this be that? I doubt it, but just throwing out more random stuff that comes to mind.

Here iam with you.

I can understand, that the people who missed the original FSM or Varese Club releases are happy to get a a copy, but simply re-releases without any interesting expanded or unreleased material aren`t really exciting.

The sound is pretty shrill, especially on the high strings. It could definitely sound better.

If anyone is expecting a release from the '50's , you are probably going to be disappointed.
