Wow, The Warriors is easily my most anticipated release of the newly announced titles! Never saw it coming so awesome news!!!!

Mine too. With Patriot Games as a close second.

Now, where can I get The Matrix: Deluxe for a reasonable price??? frown damn! I missed it

It's okay to have for the previously unreleased material but they half assed it.... They carried over the album (micro)edits for the all ready released cues. Hell they actually dropped one cue that was on the album.

Personally if you have the unmentionable of the score (sessions) I'd recommend sticking with that...

Awesome!

Will Reloaded and Revolutions have the Warner Brothers 90th Anniversary logos on the front covers?

The whole line of 90th Anniversary titles will have that banner. Whether we get them all out this year is up to Warner legal. lol

We initially had 24 titles planned, but as you can see by your calendar, only 1 has come out thus far. Of the initial 24 we should be able to get 10-12 more out by year's end (the wheels of red tape move slowly sometimes) -- 2 of them are pricey whoppers!

MV

I very much hope of of the 24 WB titles will be 'Born on the 4th of July'.

That seems a little unlikely as it was a Universal picture.

What about 'Falling Down'. It's JNH and Warner Bros smile

AND it's the movie's 20th anniversary. If any title screams out for an 40-minute album presentation, it's Falling Down. I love the whole of it, but it wouldn't be an easy listen at 70 minutes.

I was doing some work yesterday and listening to HEAT, and it struck me that HEAT is also a high profile, high pedigreed WB film with a score worthy of expansion. There must be reams of material that didn't make the final film, including Goldenthal's version of the finale music which Mann ultimately dumped for the Moby track.

Looking forward to Police Academy, Matrix Reloaded and X-Files. Is the Police Academy release the first film only; or a boxset for the series?

In addition to hoping for a Matrix Revolutions release sometime down the road, I'd also be really interested in a release for the Animatrix shorts. I was always disappointed that the CD which came with the DVD+soundtrack edition had barely any score material on it.

In another thread Neil Bulk said it was just the first film.

I would love an expanded version of Heat. Most definitely one of my holy grails.

The Warriors come out to play!

What great news! I hope there's some good score tracks, including the bit at the very beginning, which I've always wanted. Another one off the ever shrinking list of holy grail scores I want.

I wrote to Walker one time, and she replied. It was early on in my contacting of composers, so it wasnt' the greatest of letter on my part.

I don't remember if I asked about it or if she just brought it up herself, but I recall her not being entirely pleased with her work on "Turbulence". I should find where I put that letter now that the score is coming. I guess my opinion of the score is better than her own.

It's exactly what you'd want the score to be from Shirley Walker. It's like her Batman starring in a Die Hard movie.

Love Shirey, but TURBULENCE has always reminded me in parts of Debney's SUDDEN DEATH (which in parts sounded like JNH's THE FUGITIVE!)

There was an established palette and energy that was common to many (if not most) action films of the era. What Shirley added to TURBULENCE was intricate thematic development -- in particular, her wicked deconstruction of "Carol of the Bells" -- along with her typically brilliant orchestration; Shirley had a rare gift for sustained action writing that never becomes muddled or taxing to the ear. With TURBULENCE, she also took the time and effort to realize much of the score's synth percussion and the like live on the scoring stage, alongside the rest of the orchestra.

I'm hoping for Batman & Robin, Lethal Weapon 2, and Lois And Clark: New Adventures of Superman.

I wonder if a pricey set might be ALL 3 Matrix scores?

The first Matrix score is Varese, so forget that big grin

I knew The Matrix Reloaded was going to get an expanded release since the original album is a joke, but didn't expect it this soon. Awesome!

I saw all three of them used last week... I think someone knew.
