Really nice job. You seem to hit all the big ones. I never heard this tackled on the radio before. I wish I knew what you were saying.

Thanks, Henry. It occured to me -- too late (way after it was edited) -- that this would have had special interest to an international audience as well. But oh well. I tend to do every fifth episode or so in English.

Jack Lawrence was a lyricist. He has nothing to do with the instrumental "Magical House Cleaning/Blue or pink" I guess Tchaikovsky could be credited here, though his work is heavily adapted.

Good point. If I credit Lawrence, I'd have to credit the other lyricists as well. I'll remove him.

Only 3 webcasts in 2017?

Are you getting lazy, Thor?

Not really, but there have been a number of issues preventing more episodes this year that I won't bore you with here. Last one was June 7, and that's almost four months ago. Far from my goal of releasing at least 1, but hopefully 2 episodes each month (btw, one episode takes two full days to produce).

Anyways, thanks for caring, FB. I'll throw myself over another one in October (and yes, the Bøhren/Åserud is still on schedule for this year).

Well spotted, sir. That's my photographer/composer Eirik taking pictures behind me.

I can also be glimpsed in the audience now and then, as we're sitting across the aisle from Elfman, just a few rows back. But you'll have to know where to look.

By the way...if you ever interview Sandra Tomek again, what would really interest me, is: how do you start such a thing like HIV?

Sandra Tomek is an internist. She works in a Viennese hospital. She then has the idea "I want to organize a big concert of film music. How do you do this? Which people do you have to contact first. How do get to all those people needed to create such a big thing? Where do you get the money (or did she pay for all this with her own money?).

Was it easy to persuade John Barry to come to Vienna, when those concerts were still in their early stages? Barry was the first winner of the »Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award« (did you ever mention this in your "Celluloid Tunes program"?wink )

OK, I know, Barry was NOT in Vienna in 2009, because his "wife was ill" (or maybe in reality he was not in good health anymore). Nevertheless he intended to come (even to the symposium before the concert).

It´s probably comparatively easy to organize those concerts nowadays and get the "big names" to come.

But how does a person with such an extraordinary dream make the first move?

One day she comes back from work and does...what?...to make her dream come true?
Does she already know people who might help her, or how did she come into contact with them? Just by browsing through the phone book and search for...what ?
