I'm not listening to the samples. I know it's going to sound great. I'm going to wait until I have my copy (ordered with Goldsmith's The Challenge, awesome Prometheus sale!) and listen to it all the way through on my sound system. I did this before with Outland, which was a big improvement over the GNP CD. It was bliss. I was at work when I first saw the announcement for this release. My reaction was not too dissimilar from Alex's. T'was quite amusing for my co-workers.

To quote the local Essex girls, OMG! Fantastic News!!!! My order has already shipped, and I can't wait to hear it! Thanks Lukas, and all at FSM, for this stunning release. You have made this John Barry fanatic (and a lot more besides me) very happy indeed! I notice that nowhere in any of the announcements or on the CD page does it say that this is it for John Barry at FSM, so I can't help but wonder if maybe King Kong is still in the works? Greedy I know, but Kong could be considered kind of unfinished business for FSM. Anyway, thanks again for Body Heat, which is much more than I ever expected. Mike A great score by John Barry indeed. One of the most memorable main themes of his long career. Love it. FSM, thanks again.
