THE ILLUSTRATED MAN-69-HINT- Another performer in film. What does JERRY GOLDSMITH,DOMINIC FRONTIERE and KLAUS SCHULZE have in common with genre film scoring? Here's the thing Mr. Dan: Apart from Steiger, Bloom and Drivas, there's hardly any other actor in that movie. I haven't seen it in ages, and thusly, I can't figure out the answer.

Advise (and Consent too) - Mr Man has disappeared. I hope everything is OK with him, but in his absence I'll answer his last question. I cheated, so I'm expecting no kudos. The answer must be Claire Bloom. I knew she was in THE ILLUSTRATED MAN (Goldsmith) and THE HAUNTING (Searle), but I had to do an imdb search for an appropriate Donaggio, and something called DÉJA VU fits the bill. Never heard of it m'self. Claire Bloom! I suspected as much, but I didn't want to offer another 'guestimate' as I've done so several times lately. I actually own Déjà Vu, but I still haven't gotten around to listening to the CD at least three years henceforth. No matter how hard I try, I always have at least ten percent of my collection sealed an unlistened to. Now, had I opened the package, if only to peak at the booklet, even furtively, the answer would have been proffered in no time flat.

Here's a tough one: What Boris Karloff-related project did Herman Stein contribute music to other than THE STRANGE DOOR and ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE? First correct answer will get a free Monstrous Movie Music CD! Sounds like TARGETS (1968) directed by Peter Bogdonovich. An oddball of a film if I ever saw one.

You're thinking of Ronald Stein. Herman Stein (Creature From the Black Lagoon, This Island Earth, The Incredible Shrinking Man) is no relation to him. Yes, of course. I wasn't certain about which Stein it was. By the way, lets not forget that good old Ronald composed a few exceptional ones in his day as well.
