I don't care about the tracklisting. The release is WONDERFUL. All I need now is the autograph and i'm a happy man!

May I ask those that don't want an autograph to order the CD hours after its release? I don't want to re-live the SAE blue box nightmare.

Alex

Highly unlikely, Alex Klein! wink

Why not using this free space for an audio interview like Perseverance is doing ??

Why not appreciate that LLL is releasing a two disc expansion of a soundtrack thats been put twice out of print?

God theres almost no satisfying you people.

well one would argue that it needn't be two discs if the score fit on one CD, bring costs down for everybody, including LLL. still, i am skeptical if that is actually the track listing, it looks like some tracks are only on the album version, which seems odd, unless the album had lot's of re-edits.

anyway, the presentation doesn't matter to me, this is one of Conti's best and one I've been needing to re-buy since i sold everything a year ago. Happy to see it come out again. big grin

On my side, I'm sooo happy with this release, interview or not! I was also just agreeing that interviews are cool and the way Perseverance does it, is cool for us fan! cool but a 2-disc of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is totally awesome! Can't wait!

and I dont care for DISC 2 on WIND&LION

I'd defend my point - but I think you just did that for me.

well, you truncated my sentence. I dont need WIND disc 2 but MASTERS disc 2 has part of the score from disc 1. There's a difference, you know.

we all have eternal gratitude for this release, but we have to pay more for a 2-cd set that is actually a 10-min expansion on the Varese that would fit in 1 disc. Just that.

the more you squeeze onto a single disc, the more compression, etc. will occur, and sound fidelity takes a hit. i applaud the content being spread over two discs, if anything the quality won't suffer on this format.

So you'd pay a dentist to drill your teeth but not put in fillings? Thats what I'm getting since you're complaining about paying full price for 2 CDs worth of music; cry me a goddamned river.

Stop it - if you actually had any sort of "eternal gratitude", you wouldn't be sharpening a knife as you said any of this. The Varese and Edel CDs have been out of print for ages and LLL is doing everyone a huge favor by not only rerereleasing this - but expanding it and offering it at the price they are.

All you are is decidedly ungrateful and unpleasant on the subject.

You make no sense. The Edel alone was 10 minutes more than the Varese.

Wow okay, the fact they carried the last few tracks onto the second disc when they CLEARLY would have fit on the first absolutely sucks. Talk about wrecking the flow of the score.

It was bad enough when BSX did it on the expanded Lifeforce (also courtesy of Mr Thaxton!) but at least there were legitimate space issues involved there.

A VERY BAD DECISION in my opinion!

Surely they can't simply have been trying to jusfify the second disc... surely...?

I have to agree with Lehah here. The complaints are simply ridiculous. I hope truly grateful people get hold of the autographs (like me razz).

Why don't we wait until the official press release before start condemning MV and co?

Well some of us are more interested in the music's ability to play through from beginning to end uninterrupted (since there's no reason why it can't!!) than the autograph (although the autograph will be nice)

Well I hope you're right... but I'm not hopeful. The track listing printed above clearly came from SOMEWHERE...

sometimes soundtrack labels learn from feedback or complaints. You should know it if you are in this board.

43 min vs 69 min. That's more than 10 min, pal.

now we'll have 6 min more in a 2-cd LIMITED set that probably will vanish in a few days.

welcome to the real world

I wasn't really suggesting the tracks were fals or not....Point is, even if it is correct, the PR will most likely shed some light on why it was chosen to be programmed that way. Why not give MV the benefit of the doubt? he knows what he's doing and it is doubtful he's trying to pull a fast one past everybody. This score has been OOP and selling for big money, I'm just happy it's back in print...

I know it's MORE than 10 minutes. My point was that the dude was false when saying that this release was only 10 minutes more than the album.

I meant EDEL, sorry. But not really 10, just about 6 min more of music.

Hope sound gets improved. Anyone remembers how the old disc do sound? Any trouble?
