DARK KNIGHT RISES 1-4 6-11 14 15 Tt: 40:24 Brm That is barely whittled. That’s like: “I don’t like 3 tracks on this album so I’mma leave ‘em off.” Just suck it up and listen to the whole thing.

You're such a Sheep, Shaun. Remind me to kill ya when I next see ya. Hahaha ouch! Anyway, here's my Varese-like version of some guy's remix of Intrada's The Shadow 1. The Poppy Fields (Main Title) 2. I'll Be There 3. Chest Pains 4. The Knife 5. The Tank 6. The Hotel 7. Fight Like A Man 8. The Mirrors (Revised) 32 minutes-ish. I cut The Sanctum and The Tank, but maybe shouldn't have. Interesting selections - any particular reason why you didn't want to include the movie's closing cue, "Frontal Lobotomy"? I was trying to trim it down, that's all! I prefer The Sanctum and The Tank to Frontal Lobotomy and cut both of those (perhaps idiotically), but dammit, now you have me wanting to un-whittle and make it a 45 minute album instead. Hey, nothing wrong with a solid 45-minute presentation! That still works if we follow the old LP limitations. Haha I kept talking about having cut The Tank, but it was right there in the 8 track version. Don't worry, I'm adding the other two now! Still whittled!

Perhaps there should be a new name for those who just want to take off one or two tracks they don’t like. Maybe pruners. Just a little snip here and a little snip there.

Hey, it's all the same to me. And if we're going to go calling each other made up names, please, call me Shirley.

Large chunks of the soundtrack just bogged it down for me. I whittled and whittled this one down. Avengers - Infinity War (Deluxe Edition)- Alan Silvestri The Avengers Even for You Morning After Is He Always Like This? More Power Charge! Forge A Lot to Figure Out (Extended) The End Game (Extended) Get That Arm/I Feel You (Extended) Porch Infinity War End Credits Total Time: 41:44 I'll have to go through my own whittling (which only took it down to like 83 minutes or something ridiculous) and see if this is acceptable. I think I tried to keep in everything that had even ONE good action lick. Oh wait, I can already see that Help Arrives is cut from yours! That's a huge moment in the film!

Agreed. I didn't include The Avengers cue and started with Help Arrives instead.

Black Sunday (1977) - John Williams. This was my attempt to create a "what-if" scenario, in that if Williams had been able to create an album for this score back in '77, knowing that the LP/tape/8-track format would limit him to 40-45 minute presentation and that he wouldn't go for a chronological order. And honestly, since most of the action music is in the last half of the movie, it's best to mix it up anyway, with a big start to both "sides" of the LP: Side A: The Explosion (Revised Ending)/End Title (Film Edit) Commando Raid Moshevsky's Dead The Blimp and The Bomb The Telephone Man/The Captain Returns Building The Bomb Preparations Side B: Air Chase, Parts 2 & 3/The Blimp Hits The Test It Was Good/Dahlia Arrives/The Unloading Speed Boat Chase Miami/Dahlia's Call The Flight Check The Explosion The End This is interesting. I usually just keep it in film order, but cut out the tracks I don't want to hear often (I have a larger iPod with every track, but the iPhone is the one I do the whittling on). Here's my 39 minute program, which only cuts like what - 7 tracks from the main program? 1. Beirut 2. It Was Good/Dahlia Arrives/The Underdog 3. Speed Boat Chase 4. The Test 5. Building The Bomb 6. Miami/Dahlia's Call 7. Preparations 8. The Flight Check 9. Airborne/Bomb Passes Stadium 10. Farley's Dead 11. The Blimp and The Bomb 12. The Take Off 13. Underway 14. Air Chase, Part 1 15. Air Chase, Part 2 16. The Explosion 17. The End

Again, removing The Conversation is crazy! It's key to the whole score! I do like that you retained Advance Scout Greeting, though. I did move that in the sequence so that it comes right before The Conversation, though. I took "Inside" off because it causes the whole CE3K to flag as 1980 on my iPhone and that drives me crazy (see also: The E.T. Adventure).
