Oh boy do i miss that excitement of constantly pressing F5 in those mornings at 10 a.m
in Finland and finally revealing that new Goldsmith title i didn´t have. Well, those days are
surely gone, but i think the exciment can still come back if we only get more clubs. And why
not? They´re good business to Varese. Many of them sold out pretty fast after the release.

Done? I think not. Just re-gathering strength for upcoming goodies!

I'd love to think that OBSESSION, MARNIE, CAPE FEAR, and THE LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER are coming from Varese Club. I'd love to think that...

As well as individual releases from the Herrmann box.

What about the complete "Thriller" anthology by Jerry Goldsmith and Morton Stevens?

Psycho, Marnie, Torn Curtain (twice), Frenzy (twice) - somebody's gotta do them.

Along with the Paramount ones: Rear Window, The Trouble With Harry, The Man Who Knew Too Much

Another Herrmann set would be awesome! But I think its going to be a major Bernstein goody!

Fright Night, Conan and Balck Cauldron from the original stereo master tapes would be nice.

I expect they will do a single disc release of The Next Karate Kid to complete the solo releases from the KK boxed set (which I have).

A fourth volume of "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" would be perfect.

I hope not! If they do release Conti, I would like unreleased scores. It seems like a waste to release a title they released just a few years ago. But that's just me.

I agree, I'm tired of these constant re-issue of a re-issue, of a re-issue etc. I want never before released film music and there is a lot that has never been available before. The sad part for me I usually buy the re-mastered editions whether improved or not.

From all indications it appears as though the CD Club is done, over, finished. Hope I'm wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Club is NOT dead.

A friend of mine talked to Robert Townson recently who told him that they have been very busy this year with the concerts (they've been touring in Europe apparently). So before the end of the year, expect concert related material to be released (dvd / cd) and possibly ONE Club title (maybe a box set, who knows).

So not a normal line up like we used to have, but alive it is. We just all need to be patient.

I am not particularly interest in concert dvd/cd material. While it might be "nice" to have, I would rather see (and hear) music closer to original sources.

The thought of only one club release before the end of the year tells me the club is not totally dead; only brain dead. Maybe they should be taken off life support altogether.

Because one Club release is worse than none?

It's little wonder Bob Townson isn't the internet's biggest fan.

There aren't a lot of film music concerts on video... I am very happy to have the Fimucite DVDs they issued.
