With due respect to Antineutrino, there's also the possibility that the track listing is incorrect. I can't understand why LLL would split the complete score over two discs, when it would easily fit on one. Having to switch discs just to listen to the remaining few minutes would be very annoying.
Why are'nt tracks 1-4 of disc 2 on the end of disc 1? They look like they'd fit. And the original album would have been more accessible on a CD to itself.
Maybe an effort to balance the CDs at about an hour each rather than 40 minutes here and 80 there?
Cause if it's not, who cares for the (shorter) album presentation after 75 min of full Conti score?
I think thats a pretty good question - and I can only speak for myself when I say "I would".
Album presentation is *everything* and while the Edel version is superior to the Varese (which is the one featured on the second disc), it'll be interesting to see how musical ideas evolve and play off each other.
Besides, Intrada did this for The Wind And The Lion - and I didn't see you complain then?
so, what happens when there were 2 album presentation, like in this score??? You say you prefer EDEL'S over VARESE, but people would prefer the latter.
maybe they should have made a 3 disc with 3 arrangements of the same music!!! Nah...
and I dont care for DISC 2 on WIND&LION, but at least there you had the whole score into first disc.
