SAMPSON THEME- KEN THORNE-Extremely pretty theme, does anyone know what film this came from?

It's on the album THE TOUCHABLES, so I think it's from the 1968 film of the same name, scored by Ken Thorne. Pretty obscure I believe.

I can't help but think it would be beneficial if dan the man posted some links to the music with these posts. Otherwise it just becomes a long tedious list of film titles and composers holding little interest or discussion, much like the seemingly now abandoned 100 favourite scores thread.

To Thomas -to each one's own and you have a valid point, but may I say, many scores I looked into simply because of the written word. For one example where there are many, I believe in a very early issue of FSM, when it was only a few pages long, an interview done on PINO DONAGGIO in which words like beautiful , pretty, lovely etc were used lead me to all his scores. In those same issues the tiny reviews that were done on film scores in which the same words were used made me interested in checking those scores out.All this thanks to LUKAS KENDALL'S, small but fun and informative mag back then. It's no big deal Thomas ,no need to let it disturb you. [ha-ha] If one person might check out LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and likes it then that will be fine.

Whose Life Is It Anyway?- Excellent release by FSM. This is the kind of score suited for specialty labels. Sadly over looked by many I believe.

+1 for Field of Dreams.

I'd also like to add Gustavo Santolalla's score for the PS3 game The Last of Us, which I've recently been listening to.
