Matrix on the left. Iron Man in the middle. Serena (Underworld) on the right. Selene.. Right, because it's so unusual for movie properties to ape each other, or for comics to be ripoffs of each other or other media, or movie music for that matter. Originality, that's what counts in the pop culture biz, ever since the first silent remake! All that matters is it's got the Shield Helicarrier on top - that's all I care about - nobody else's got that! Make mine Marvel.

Ok, ok, point taken. I don't know that there are any A movies anymore, at least not along the lines of action/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy. They are just A-list B movies. Maybe they always were.

May be Intrada doesn't want to release the score because it sucks. And believe me, it really sucks. And you know this how? Given that he's a film music journalist, he probably already heard the score. Still hoping that this will be a good one.

We keep saying that Jackman is better than this, but it seems that more often than not, he's writing garbage like Captain America.

I am not a contrarian, and I do prefer the Silver Age... ... but I think this sounds not bad at all but intriguing. A good combination of the traditional and the modern elements. Also, let´s wait for the whole score before dismissing something due to samples. Basically, Henry Jackman is very fond of soundscapes. He has always been, so it does not surprise me that he uses his experiments here, too. But it´s not just that at all. Listen to tracks like "The Smithsonian". Yep, I´m looking forward to it and I will check out the whole score.

Wait! Guys, I must be listening to something else, because I actually like what I'm hearing. From these online samples I can tell this score has some very good moments. Check tracks like "The Smithsonian", "Project Insight, or "Taking a Stand" for example. Plus, I'm sure "Time to Suit Up" which end abruptly as a sample might end with some grand fanfare. It's not the high level of Silvestri, but it sounds like a relatively good job to me. Also, it seems logical to have a more "modern" sound that the first movie, because of the different time frame. As I said, I love Silvestri's approach, but this sounds appropriate.
