I’m surprised that after seven pages of posts, no-one has mentioned the biggest complaint most of us had with the Rhino release; namely, the absence of an unadulterated “Carol Anne’s Theme” (the first glorious track of the 1982 soundtrack album).

Like many other fans of the score, the first thing I did when I acquired the Rhino was to make a copy of the CD, removing the first fifty seconds of the final track, thus giving me the beautiful theme without the irritating intro.

Many thanks to Lukas for rectifying the Rhino oversight.

Many thanks to Lukas for rectifying the Rhino oversight.

You mean on the "1982 Soundtrack Album" portion, right? Because the "Film Score" disc seems to have that same intro.

Thank goodness this is a 10000 release. After Trek V, and with Christmas just around the corner I'll have to wait until the new year for this release. If I'd only waited a few days I'd have ordered this instead of Trek V.

One of my top all-time favourite soundtracks for sure - thanks FSM big grin

One of my favorites of all time -- a definite buy. Kudos to the FSM team for another fine product.

I'll be ordering this as soon as I get paid again. Another off my list.

Never heard the original Poltergeist (okay either of the previous releases) or seen the movie before so a little strange listening to the samples.

The Twinkle Twinkle Little Star track might be pushing being complete though, music as I like the tune I don't think I'd ever listen to that track more than once.

Did an avatar tribute to Poltergeist. They've been focused on FSM releases a lot lately wink

Great news. I wasn't going to get it since I really only listen to the main theme, but the audio samples won me over. I think I'm going to wait until next week, though, since it's a 10,000 copy pressing. I've already bought far too much this week.

Very happy to see this gorgeous, ferocious score get the FSM treatment. Thanks, Lukas, Mike and Mr. Botnick. A spectacular end to an amazing year of wonderful releases.

Thanks everyone for the warm reception.

I had as LITTLE to do with this as possible for FSM! It was Mike Matessino and Bruce Botnick.
