Francois Ozon / Philippe Rombi

Besides the obvious and more prolific ones, this needs another vote as well, as the collaboration between these two has resulted in magnificent music.

Sorry if this were mentioned and I missed it, but has anyone mentioned Bill Conti and John Avildsen? While I know ROCKY and KARATE KID are obvious results (and frankly overrated ones in my opinion), SLOW DANCING IN THE BIG CITY and THE FORMULA are - in my judgement - two of Conti's greatest scores. They are just magnificent works that really showcase his amazing symphonic chops when he wanted to flex them!

I don't believe anyone has mentioned this great composer/director team yet:

  • Komeda/Polanski
