I'll be in for both. I believe a separate disc exists for the musical episode of Brave and Bold which I need to track down.

It is a CD-R from Amazon.

I posted the link to Amazon above. A mere $7.88 right now!

Not at all familiar with Superman: TAS, but if it's anywhere near the league of Batman: TAS then this will be a definite purchase.

It absolutely is. The series has its own tone and energy, but it's the same caliber of outstanding writing from the same group of composers. In some ways, Shirley's core group of proteges really came into their own on this show -- there's a fresh confidence and polish to their work here that shines through.

Actually, I think even people who know the show are going to be very surprised when they hear this release. There's a wealth of texture and detail that isn't wholly apparent in the final episode mixes. And between the rare promo spots, bonus tracks and unused tidbits, you're pretty much guaranteed to hear something you've never heard before!

MV, it's probably not at the top of your list, but would you be able to post artwork for Superman without the WB anniversary logo?

Sorry, I tried to edit this post but somehow posted the edited version separately in the next post.

Mind you, this is a good opportunity to ask: are the scores on the B:TBATB release complete, or is there any material omitted from them?

Count me in for the Superman release! Not sure about Batman: The Brave and the Bold though as I feel there are better episode scores for that show. May order B:TBATB at a later date but would like to wait and see how things play out for B:TAS volume 3 and The Adventures of Batman and Robin first, as those are the Batman releases I really want. Here's hoping that both will be 4 discs as they really deserve it!

Superman will be great, especially for "In Brightest Day..." and "World's Finest" - those are the big ones and I'm very happy that they're included. Also great to have the themes for characters like Brainiac, Darkseid, Livewire and Parasite represented.

A little bit surprised that "Brave New Metropolis", "Fun and Games", "Stolen Memories", "Knight Time" and "The Late Mr. Kent" didn't make the cut for this release, but maybe there'll be a volume 2 to cover those episodes. But great job on releasing this (and B:TAS vols 1 and 2) La La Land, it's fantastic to see the DCAU getting such good treatment! smile

It really is a brilliant score.

I agree with the person in the comments section who is/was looking for music from "Shadow of the Hawk" - that is another excellent score which I hope La La Land will release if they cover Justice League Unlimited. McCuistion's DCAU (and Teen Titans) music is stellar.

To follow up on my question about whether the B:TBATB release features the full scores, just wondering if the Superman release has the full scores too?

Superman: the Animated Series. Awesome!

'Twas hoping for "Fun and Games" (the cue where Toyman tells Lois his story is marvelous), but this is a welcome release. Always enjoyed the music in "Mxyzpixilated" (the episode itself is a favorite, as well).

"Fun and Games" is very much on my radar! smile Meanwhile, I'm confident you will love "Mxyzpixilated" as much on the album as you did in the episode. "Building Battle Suit" in particular is a riot!

Where are you guys getting that there is a McCreary release?

It especially makes no sense that it would be Black Sails seeing as the series hasn't even premiered yet.

Musicpaladin2007 - Per La-La Land's post in the "Black Sails" thread:

"A limited number of autographed copies will be made available exclusively on the La-La Land website, along with our 2 new releases coming out on Jan 28.

In any event, I'm tremendously excited about the two DC releases - I've always loved the "Superman" music that Walker and her compatriots devised (and my love for Walker's theme for the "Batman-Superman Adventures" knows no bounds - to capture the essence of both characters so clearly and simply, and to encompass it all in about a minute - it's brilliant). Many thanks for the terrific upcoming releases (as well as the "Fantastic Voyage" reissue, which I've been enjoying this evening - I hope it's selling marvelously well)!

My bad, I missed that thread. Wow, I am shocked. Pretty phenomenal. I guess Bear really is serious about upping the ante on TV score availability schedules.
