Based on the trailers, I don't think anything can save this film.

It looks great actually. The trailers for this are so much more appealing then those for Star Wars or Jurassic World. It might be the surprise of the year.

Very exciting news for this Zimmer fan. Can't wait to read the ensuing Zimmer bashing. You mean the exciting news for Zimmer fans is he's executive producing a fil mscore by somebody else? I didn't know Zimmer fans were so easily excited.

To be honest with you, Hans and his crew are really the best guys suited for a film like this. They have the perfect sound for the Terminator franchise. I look forward to this MV

However, I find it sad that the studios always go straight back to him when previews point out problems with a film. It´s like saying "Hans is the only one who can save our asses!" The film had good reviews from the recent test screening so... Also, Zimmer is the music producer, he might write one or two cues, but Balfe is the main composer. I'm pretty sure Beck got busy with Ant-Man, Hot Pursuit, and Peanuts, and couldn't make it. After all, having him scoring Terminator came from nowhere, a few days after being chosen for Ant-Man. I do find strange for Alan Taylor to get a composer replaced in both of his films.

According to the announcements on FilmMusicReporter, Terminator for Beck came before "Ant-Man".

I do find strange for Alan Taylor to get a composer replaced in both of his films. It was Marvel's decision to replace Burwell on Thor, not Taylor's.
