You could always not order that kidney busting soda before you enter the theatre.

I read that in Khan's voice as he makes that gesture. It seemed so fitting

What director in their right mind would demand the reduction in box office takings that would result from fewer screenings per day?

Franklin J. Schaffner

Why can't some director just be bold and demand an Intermission for their film if it runs over 2:20?

Not to mention the 10-15 minute gap in the film that makes you lose any sense of immersion in the picture.

That almost looks like someone took the screenshot from the trailer and stretched it out to fit the square image for a CD cover...

Either way I am stoked for both the score and movie

The Dark Knight Rises is 2 hours, 45 minutes.

My bladder says thanks a lot, Nolan. mad

LOL!!! Can't wait to see how Nolan's Dark Knight Rises turns out. As far as the score goes the Dark Knight was an awesome album in my opinion. I'm sure both the movie and the score won't disappoint us!

I never eat or drink anything before or during a movie on a day I'm heading to the theater, and I still have problems with films edging over the 2 1/2 mark (not helped by the fifteen minutes' worth of trailers beforehand). I must have an abnormally small bladder, or something. When Return Of The King was released, I honestly didn't eat or drink anything after 4:00 PM the previous day. I was ravenously hungry by the time it was over, but at least I wasn't pounding my armrest in frustration by the two-hour mark.

Honestly, a THREE-HOUR Batman movie? Why?! I'm sure it will be good, but it will also be bloated with subplot flab that should have been left for a deleted scenes menu at home. I guess I'm just getting old, but I'm a nervous wreck when the trailers are over and the film proper begins and I'm thinking, "Okay, my last chance has expired...I'm in for the long run now".

I hope a "complete", full chrono score release follows quickly...

Maybe a great time to give that Complete Ultimate treatment to the entire trilogy (?)...

Is there a Zimmer score out there that is complete and in full chronological order? Zimmer, like Williams seems to really like designing album listening experiences out of his scores. In my opinion, he's pretty good at it! (eg. compare the full Broken Arrow score w/ Zimmer's album cut; one's enjoyable, the other torturous).

Wasn't the Deluxe Edition of The Dark Knight just that?

Was it, LeHah? I think it was a jumble.

No, it was the same OST release, along with a second disc with about half an hour of add'l material and some remixes.

Haha no, i don't think so. It certainly contained extra music that wasn't on the regular edition but it was certainly not chronological. Zimmer likes to release his scores with longer suites (see Dark Knight and Inception). Personally I don't think a C&C score would work at all for The Dark Knight and I like the way it was presented commercially.

I don't know, I'm sorta Hans-off on that one myself.

Thanks for the link!

Well, for me, these snippets only hint at a reprise of the previous scores with one nice theme (for Catwoman?) in "Mind if I cut in?" and the Bane chanting.

It is Zimmer in droning mode, as far as one can tell from these short excerpts. So... I´m going back to listening to Horner´s "The Amazing Spider-Man".
