To address some issues:

1. The * is a publishing situation. We had it on Batman we have it on this. Its an internal, legal thing.

2. Batman and Batman Returns are done to the last 350 units

3. Keaton is the best modern Batman, but Adam West will always BE Batman

4. We are not doing Alien 3. I don't think anyone is.

5. I wouldn't hold my breath for Batman and Robin from any label.

6. The Alien 3 music is from the film. We put it in on there because if we didn't many would complain its missing. Plus, its a great piece of music AND it was written by the same composer.

ORDERED~~

My first Goldenthal item since I started my soundtrack collection in March 2009.

And it's the first Goldenthal work ever(!) to receive deluxe treatment! smile Got my oversea shipping notice already.

By the way, I don't think Alien3 is in need of expansion. Good album, and if one desperately wants the Fiorina motiv or something, there is the isolated score track on the film blu ray (released 2009 or something). Although supposedly there was lots of unused material recorded, or later edited, of course it would be nice to get THAT, hm.

Sad though if a B&R release still was a problematic thing, after all the trouble in the first place. But even if the masters were destroyed (noone knows), somewhere in a shelf a finished cd does exist, so it will never be lost, at least seen from a planetary perspective. wink My number one holy grail of all music! Second comes the complete "Masked&Anonymous" sessions.

Too funny - I'm picturing Adam on a Sunday afternoon, donning his old batsuit and sliding down a makeshift batpole that he built in his home, to the kitchen where he makes himself a dagwood sandwich and then proceeds to his den to watch America's Funniest Home Videos.

I agree with the Keaton statement - he has that little bit o' crazy in him that we all know Batman would have had, given his traumatic childhood. You just don't see that in Kilmer, Clooney, and Bale.

Disappointing news about B&R, but thanks for being honest.

And for the heads up on Returns!

I always thought the best job West did was when he voiced the Grey Ghost on B:TAS. Although the reruns on MeTV have been a hoot.

Ordered. If this sounds anywhere close to the quality of their Batman scores from Elfman, I'm in for a real treat.

Passed on '89 and Returns, Ordered Forever! Can't wait to hear it. I have a feeling it might be a long listen but the original album was missing so much.

No Batman and Robin? What the hell? Now, I'm really disappointed. There's going to be a missing segment of my Batman collection!

Next week brings something none of us thought would ever be released...

The Friday The 13th 6 cd set... I know... not for everyone, but even Harry Manfredini did not think this would happen (from about a year and a half ago)...

Really glad this expanded Batman Forever has come out... and who knows... maybe one day Batman and Robin will be released...

I'm not holding my breath for an answer to this, but . . .

Speaking of Adam West and unlikely soundtrack recordings, what's the likelihood of some more Nelson Riddle
on the La-La Land label? Is it more likely or less likely than "Batman and Robin," for instance?

One of my dream projects would be a comprehensive Riddle collection. Sadly the rights are controled by a faction that is difficult to deal with. Hell, the dam shows were never released on any home video forum thus far. Perhaps some day

I hope you get to, it's a little sad that the only thing we have is the movie release (very glad we at least have it though). I'm kind of stunned it isn't released on DVD as surely it would sell bucket loads (I guess like with Man from UNCLE which took forever to see a release and where we Europeans get a release of the movie episodes before the US got anything.)

I agree Physical Batman is between West & Keaton (who was surprisingly perfect), voice wise Kevin Conroy is perfect.

Nabbed this, along with Returns. I'll need B89 at a later date, because as much as I do love that score, its honestly my least favorite of the burton/schumacher era. Returns being my favorite, Forever/B&R being a tie, and loving, just not as much - B89.
