How nice, photos of Jeff Bond opening my copy of the Elfman/Burton boxed set! Seriously, guys - you don't have to do that.

someone posted this on facebook and i dare say it seems to work. apparently mine is on tap for tomorrow. it's a festivus miracle!

"I think I just figured out how to track my package without a tracking number. Go to UPS tracking. Choose Track by reference. Just enter you zip code and put your order number as the reference number.

For me, it showed a 17.3 LB package scheduled for 2nd day air. Sounds about right."

Pure genius It Works!

You are a genius, I just did it and it worked, woo hooo

Mine will be here by tomorrow, close of business day.

Whoever came up with that back-door tracking method deserves a reward and a lot of thanks! I didn't get an email and had no idea where it was, when it was sent or when it might be delivered. But now I do! And just in the past half hour I've seen its location get updated from Kentucky to my home state. It's just a few miles away now!

I'm as excited as I should have been last Christmas.

Thanks for the tip. Mine is in Gardena, CA and should arrive by 5pm tomorrow.

Still haven't been charged for it, nor have I received any e-mails about it shipping.

James

And 30 minutes later I got my shipment e-mail.

HA!

End of the day tomorrow here too. With this on the way and just getting the Bernstein Box from the FSM sale, I'm starting to feel like a film score glutton. But it's just so damn delicious.

Man, you have a LOT of music to go through, good luck. The Elmer box is wonderful. I bought it when it came out and me being only in my early 30's it was nice to discover a lot of this music from yesteryear.

EDIT, just got my shipping notice as well.

Congrats Jeff. You're wonderfully astonished expressions are well earned. You've truly climbed the soundtrack writer's Mount Everest with this project.

It really is superb. I am importing The Nightmare Before Christmas as I type. The main reason why I got the set. Elfman writes how it's the only score that he arranged in chronological order because "it just feels right."

Can't wait to listen to all the unreleased music. One of the first films I saw as a child, and the score is one of very few that got me into the trade.

Anyone know what bit rate the files are on the flash drive? When I get this I plan on ripping the discs to lossless, but if the files are huge it would save time to just gank them off the flash.

The files are 192kbps.

Bummer, since it only took about 5 minutes to save them to my HD and then add them into iTunes. The USB flash drive interface is fantastic.

When I saw that I was like "Oh well, at least it'll be fun going through each CD."

Then I popped in Pee-Wee, and learned that I had to enter information for everything. "This is gonna hurt."

Jeff Bond: Well, I finally have something to say about this...

AMERICAN GOTHIC

I adore these pictures! You're my favourite preacher!

If the youtube videos are to believed, everything the USB drive is taken from cassettes so really you aren't gaining anything by having it in 320kbps or in lossless. I could be wrong of course.

And to anyone adding it to EAC's database = THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Hmm, didn't work for me. Maybe they used a different company for overseas.

I'm predicting an onslaught of photos of people with their boxes as soon as they arrive. Which could be fun, of course (and a bit annoying for those - like me - who could never afford it)! big grin

For Eurozone collectors:
Months ago we were doubtful about the final price we would pay.

In fact 542 $ (box + shipping) = 3 Ron Jones Projects (shipping included)

could vary from
361 euros (rate 1,5) to 451 euros (rate 1,2)
(striking 90 euro uncertainty gap!)

Today I've been finally charged 382 euro (rate 1,42).
Which is like buying almost 4 Ron Jones Projects.
Bottom line: for Europe has been a real bargain! Beware: NOW, tomorrow you can't say.
