Planning to finish season one today. I think "The Road Not Taken" ties with "Safe" in having the best music. I really, really like the distorted string sections.
I imagine "Spontaneous Combustion", "Sanford And Shunned" and "A Destroyed Life" are from that episode.
This is not in relation to the music written for Fringe, but Lance Reddick, who plays Agent Phillip Broyles, has a jazz vocal album from 2008 with complete track samples on his website at http://www.lancereddick.com/.
Mr. Reddick studied composition at the prestigious Eastman School of Music before deciding he was more interested in pop music than classical career-wise, ultimately moving primarily into acting. Since there is rumored to be a musical episode ahead for May (yes, it takes place in Walter's head), I'm hoping Mr. Riddick will contribute his voice at some point.
On a side note, a shout out to you guys who scored last nights episode (Peter). Outstanding score and an outstanding episode. I believe that one episode solidified Fringes status as the best show on television after May 23rd (Lost)
Hey guys, I actually don't work on the show anymore. I wrote the music to the first half of season one (I think Safe was the last episode I did). From there, I only did certain cues (about 5-15% of episode) for the second half of season one. Chris did the rest. I do not work on season two. Just wanted to clarify.
EDIT: I was most proud of the episode "The Dreamscape."

Thanks for the clarification, Chad. Hopefully on to something new and exciting now instead.

Thanks for clearing this up. Hopefully it'll stick with people here. Somehow, I doubt it...
I would have to say episode 11, when Stanford came from the feds to control the Fringe division. It's not just one cue title, it's a lot of them. Basically they all made fun of him by rhyming with "Sanford and Son" - such as "Stanford and Shunned." There were 5 or 6 really good ones!
Also in the pilot, there was a cue named "GO TEAM SCIENCE!!" but that track didn't make it on the album. I always laugh at the simplicity of it.
My CD arrived today and I'm pleased to say it's a very good selection of music! Great job Chris, Chad & Michael!
I especially love the Masters Of The Multiverse/Now That's Just Nicked Up/Simultaneous Combustion theme that pops up later in the season. (Is that the main theme?)
