At first the pic appeared, and then it did not, which was when I posted the link. Here is the page: http://www.angelfire.com/tx/returntooz/thertzscorebyds.html It's DS conducting the LSO on Return to Oz. Only one pic, and and older mag article. Pretty cool. He always looks so thoughtful w the baton. Thanks so much. What's funny is, I've been to that site before. This is in my top 5 of all time scores period. The opening cue is again up there in my top 5, absolute GORGEOUS. Words can't describe it and if I try, I'll fall short. It's the only CD I ever listened to that I started crying when I finally got it and heard track 1. Bay Cities put out that compilation album YEARS ago. The Return to Oz suite is quite good and a neat listen. My CDR compilation of the score has it at the end of it.

Two links to excellent FSM articles about "Return to Oz" (a masterpiece). Unfortunately, you have to be a subscriber to FSM online to access the articles. -------------------------- "A Return to the Themes of Oz: David Shire’s fantasy masterpiece, now 25 years old, deserves a deeper look" by Tim Greiving FSM Online, Volume 15, No. 3, March 2010 http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/fsmonline/story.cfm?maID=2414 (among other things, this online article breaks down the score's themes, with music samples you can click on) -------------------------- "Classic Corner: David Shire's Return to Oz" by Jeffrey E. Ford Film Score Monthly, Vol. 1, issue 30-31, Feb/Mar 1993, pages 42 to 44 http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/fsmonline/issue_detail_print.cfm?issID=142&page=13 (this long article has detailed listing of all the cues in the film; which add up to about 80 minutes of music; the Bay Cities CD of "Oz" is 48 minutes) (this Film Score Monthly archived print issue may take a while to download as a pdf)

YOR just saw the movie the other day and was impressed on how bad it actually is! The score is very good, tough.

This is one of those few soundtracks where I really like nearly all of the themes. From Mombi, to Tik-tok, the rag-march, and whatever theme is at the beginning of Oz/The Ruined house. I love this score!
