Lots of great things to do in LA! But if it's going to soundtrack stores, stick to Ebay, SAE and Intrada. The only, overpriced game left in town is Amoeba. How I miss Bernie and Disc Connection!

As an aside, besides Amoeba, Dark Delicacies have a number of signed items at all times. And a few places I've sometimes hit the jackpot with are Record Surplus, Rockaway Records and Atomic Records.

Hi Lukas,

Is there a definitive date for this celebration? We'd love to attend, but need to square it with our sitter.

Many thanks!

Let's just hope it was a little bit better than last year's get-together in the FSM Headquarters:

Hi Gang:

Question: what is a better time for YOU for the get-together, Friday evening/night or Saturday afternoon? (Those are the choices.)

Saturday afternoon would be better for us, since we'll be driving up from San Diego (the Friday afternoon/evening traffic would be murder).

My vote is saturday afternoon.

I'm in for Saturday, too!

Well, if I make the trip I would fly in Friday but jet lag and different-time-zone adjustments would make Saturday more practical. It would be just a one-day affair? Either way, there should be plenty to do on Sunday one way or another.

And might any locals recommend a nice, cheap(er) place to stay? Jacuzzi, mint on top of pillow, etc. not required.

Wow! Very cool.
It is down to seven weeks, any more info from FSM?

We're planning the FSM get-together Saturday afternoon, then the Dark Delicacies signing on Sunday afternoon. The Dark Delicacies event is a bit challenging for us given the increasingly deceased nature of many of our composers, but we're working in concert with other labels... more later

I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh at "increasingly deceased."

So! This is really going to be an all week-end thing. Great!
