I agree that the soundtrack cover is weak. Hopefully, that's not the official album cover!

I like the cover just fine.

I'm curious, where'd you find this tracklist?

And for the other user who posted information about the song/score, could you state that information in a more confusing manner?

This is definitely one of the most boring, nondescript covers I've ever had the displeasure of laying eyes upon. I can't help but wonder, what were they thinking?!?

are you referring to me? and what are you speaking about? confusing?

The Casino Royale poster reflected the Score cover, so it will probably follow suit in QoS.

As a side note, they are also re releasing CR as a 2 Disc Blu-ray and 3 Disc DVD in October, more extras.

It also looks like they are moving away from the machine gun image of the trailer.

I can't wait for this movie! I might even take the day off work and go to the first show! I'm sold so a bad poster or album cover can't keep me away!

I think I'm going to be suckered into that 2 disc CR Blu-ray too.

Yeah.

You deleted your original post which someone else quoted and then your clarification was still confusing.

i can confirm that the song is on the cd release and parts of the song are incorporated into parts of the score where possible. some pieces by jack white are in parts of the film as well. there is less music in the film as the film is shorter than casino royale.

for anonymity's sake, i cannot disclose my source, sorry!

and then

Just to clarify my earlier post:

The song will be on the soundtrack album.

Parts of the song are integrated into the score. Jack White is not actually used in the film other than the opening titles. There is less music in the film as the film is shorter than Casino Royale.

So to be clear,

You can't reveal your source but

1) the song is on the CD (duh)
2) the song is incorporated into the score by David Arnold
3) the score is shorter than CASINO ROYALE because the film is shorter.

I just think you could have stated it in a less confusing manner and I still would like to know who your "source" was for the info on Arnold using the song. I'm not doubting you, but I just find it odd he didn't mention it in that audio interview that was online last week.

James

Oh, and as for the cover, I agree with the person who said it makes it look like they were out on a really bad date.

While I like the picture, I don't think THAT should be the poster for the film.

A short Bond movie. I prefer long Bond movies if they are good. With the exception of CR ('06), we had mostly long and weak Bond movies during the last decade. I'm really looking forward to QOS, the movie - not necesserily to the music, and certainly not to the song which I despice already.

Oh heaven save us! I just heard the new song...

It's horrifically awful. Is there any hope at all this will be pulled and changed before release?

Please say there is.

There's no hope, I'm afraid. Barbara Broccoli must have a dreadful taste when it comes to music, especially songs. Time will tell how the song stands the test of time, but I am sure it won't be favourably judged in 100 years either.

Wow... if this is legit, the song is at the end! Maybe the song in the movie will be over the end titles!! ;-)

If only the song was as good as the cover.

Isn't it interesting that the credits on the maxi single cover reads "Music from the motion picture..." instead of "Theme song" or "Title song from" etc.? - I have slight hope they might ban it to the end credits.

I could live with that. I do not want to hear that clanging of garbage cans over the title sequence.
