I am late to the party because I have just received my "Doctor Dolittle" 50th Anniversary 2 CD set and it has exceeded all expectations. The sound quality is fantastic and the album is worth every penny. Kudos, thanks to all concerned. I can appreciate this project was a big undertaking. Regretfully, I have long since lost my FSM "Goodbye Mr. Chips" CD set (first broken, then lost in a move). I wish "Star!" could receive the same treatment but with rights and clearances issues, among other problems, I don't think this will happen in my lifetime.
For those in SoCal, Fox's jaw-dropping 4k digital restoration, done from the 65mm original negative, will be screening at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on Saturday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m. I'll be moderating a Q&A with Leslie Bricusse and Samantha Eggar. Team La-La Land and Team Twilight Time will both be in the house.

Hi Mike, Leslie Bricusse and Samantha Eggar will meet fans and sign copies (Doctor Dolittle cover) after the discussion?
There won't be a formal sit-down signing. As always people try to present themselves afterwards with memorabilia in hand, but it's up to the talent and entirely possible one or both will ask to be escorted out after the discussion.

Oh, how I wish I could be there. But then again, it's probably better I won't be, because I'd probably be one of those stupid people struggling to get his NY premiere 40x60 signed. I can't help it -- it's just one of my favorite scores. Thanks again, Mr. Bricusse.
